wasted money. constantly showing error. reached Whatsapp to solve the issue. No one response, says it takes one day. Cannot return the product because we are leaving soon. Very disappointed by Amazon as well. Should have more time line for return this kind of product. Total waste money and time.

So the paper instruction was wrong. I was frustrated that it didn't work with multiple tries. I used different number on the barcode, that was working. At least, I could register. We'll see if this works in Europe.

I knew I needed to activate before my student traveled. One place just said before travel, another instruction said 2 days before travel and another set of instructions said at least 3 days before travel. First 24 hours after landing ended up being an international charge on our plan, but kicked in the next day just fine. Came with the tool to take out the SIM card, a package to hold SIM card being taken out in til return to the US. Definitely recommend the SIM card.

When I tried to active this SIM card, I got an error message: “CCID error”. I called Amazon customer service and got the manufacturer’s support email address. Then I received a response. The CCID should be 8 digits, not 16 digits that I had. I asked for refund.

4.0 out of 5 stars Activation delay left me stranded at a foreign airport, but SIM did eventually work OK
Reviewed in the United States on June 23, 2024
I requested activation of this Spain-based "Mundo" sim while still in the USA, before leaving on a long multi-leg trip from Chicago - NYC - Denmark - Paris. It was kind of a pain to submit the request, but I did manage to get it done before leaving the airport. I had actually ordered TWO sims, from different mobile operators, and brought along an extra phone, just to be safe, but the two sims were both sold by MewFi, and had basically the same activation process. When I arrived in Copenhagen, on my stated arrival date, neither sim had been activated. After a day and a half of no sleep I found myself stuck at the airport with no phone, no texts, no maps or gps, no internet, and no ridesharing. Fortunately, I had been to Copenhagen once before, and by sheer luck, managed to reach my hotel, although the train ticket cost double due to not having a working transit app. The activation delay could have really been a nightmare if I'd had no idea where I was going! Eventually, (after I sent the seller 2 panicked emails using the hotel wifi) my Mundo (Orange) sim did start working. I think it finally connected 9 or 10 hours after I landed. It was a Spanish-issued sim, so I kept getting updates and notifications in Spanish, and my Google searches would often default to Spain, but I'm used to that from previous trips, and it wasn't a big deal. Honestly, I've got no complaints about the sim itself, but there may be a long delay factor and a language barrier when communicating with the seller by email (I think they're a Chinese company) and if I remember correctly they don't even have traditional phone support, just a WhatsApp number. This can all be super frustrating when you're stuck in a foreign country without data or a working mobile device. MewFi's European sim cards may activate in a matter of hours, and work fine with no tweaking, or you may have a 2 day wait and a non-seamless experience. You'll have to decide for yourself if the potential time and money savings of pre-ordering from them is worth the risk. Oh, and one other warning: don't lose your cardboard sleeve, or the card your sim is imbedded in, because you'll need them later!

We got this SIM card to work but only after a lot of back and forth with customer service on WhatsApp. They are in a different time zone so the exchange took a few days and a few tries of different methods.

1.0 out of 5 stars Could not activate
Reviewed in the United States on April 18, 2024
Tried to activate this product in advance of a trip to Europe. Mewfi registration site reported error on entering code. Help line was through automated WhatsApp and did not provide any help; told me to enter the 9 number activation code when it was clear on the SIM card that there were 19 numbers. Qcodes on site directed me to a site that was 'down.' Buyer beware on this one. Am returning.

3.0 out of 5 stars Make sure you set up at least 2 days before using it
Reviewed in the United States on June 23, 2024
I saw they said to set it up before traveling but figured it was hard to put a sim in and set up when I was overseas. Will it is easy to set up but you have to activate it and that is what takes a day or two, so make sure you do it before leaving. I gave it three stars because it should be able to use day of activating it, not the next day. I also took off another star because wife has an iPhone 15 which only use esims and I couldn't get this to work with it. I did have another Android I bought with to use it in and it work perfectly, just wished it was working for wife's phone.
It comes with a pin had to put in once to unlock the sim on phone. As long as you follow the directions and put in the correct numbers, it should connect the day you picked to activate it when you filled in the online information.
