I was using an MX Vertical, and it stopped working properly (required extra clicks or automatically double-clicked). This happened after I updated to LogiOptions +, so it might have been the software. In general I really liked the MX Vertical, but this one is even better. It's still ergonomic and connects via bluetooth. It's shorter, so I don't have to move it off my keyboard tray to slide the tray under the desk. It has the same number of physical buttons, kind of. The top button only changes the scrolling action. I love the fast, smooth scrolling and ability to switch to slower if needed.
Being able to reprogram almost all the buttons, plus having a hidden gesture (and click) button under the thumb, is exhilarating. I can remap the buttons for individual programs, so that tilting the scroll wheel will redo and undo in Word, or move back and forth between browser tabs. Since the thumb button can be clicked or used as a gesture button in four directions, there are even more possibilities.
Small quibbles: I want to remap the quick-switch button that allows you to switch between devices, since I'm only using the mouse with one device. But this button can't be remapped. At least it's in the least convenient location for me. I also wish I could do "smart actions" for the gestures, but apparently not.
