How do I know which capsule fits my machine?

Our Vertuo machines have one button to brew all cup sizes and use dome-shaped capsules, while our Original machines have 2+ buttons or a screen display to select your cup size and use bell-shaped capsules.

What are the cup sizes that Original Line offers?

We offer ristretto (0.84 oz), espresso (1.35 oz), and lungo (3.7 oz).

How many capsules of coffee should I expect to receive if I order one pack on Amazon?

Each sleeve contains 10 capsules, with the exception of pour-over style, which are packaged in sleeves of 7 capsules. Please refer to the description of the assortment you are ordering to determine how many sleeves are included.

How do I recycle my capsules?

Nespresso recycling bags are not currently available through Amazon. Recycling bags can be redeemed with orders placed via the Nespresso website or Nespresso Boutique. You may also bring used capsules to a Boutique for recycling.

These are not the cheapest of coffee pods, or even Nespresso-compatible capsules, but for fifty of them, they're not priced terribly whatsoever

Taste: 10/10
This coffee has a wonderful flavor, I'm certainly not a coffee sommelier or anything of the sort. However, I cannot recommend this enough! The flavor is soft and nuanced, it's not super overpowering like a lot of other coffees you can put through a Nespresso machine.

State Upon Arrival:
Many reviews will mention that some capsules are dented upon arrival, and that was also the case for me. My capsules were well within the expiration date, and of course I have no doubt that their freshness is well-preserved inside of the aluminum capsule. Having said that, the dents present on some capsules has not rendered them incompatible or unusable by my personal machine (the L'Or Barista System). I have not noticed any broken capsules or off-putting flavors from any manner of contamination. All capsules were in sealed boxes with the proper Nespresso branding. Generally speaking, I wouldn't really worry about it.

TL;DR - I love these. They are the only espresso capsules I currently have any intention of buying repeatedly, and there's not a lot to worry about as long as you can stomach the somewhat high price tag for coffee!

Lungo capsules for Nespresso traditional machines

Many pods by various companies for use in the Nespresso original (traditional) machine really are meant as espresso (1.35 oz) or ristretto (.85 oz). If you stretch these pods to make a lungo (3.8 oz) they are weaker, and less intense and satisfactory in taste, at least to me.

All of the pods in this set from Nespresso are specifically LUNGOS. Though the set is more expensive than the same number of sleeves that are designed as espresso, you wouldn’t use as many pods to get about a 4 oz. cup of coffee. All the varieties, reminiscent of various places, are rewarding in taste to me. I’ll be buying another set of these coffees very soon.

Defective, but replacement on the way

I opened the first sleeve and the first pod didn't puncture. Pod crushed, water everywhere. Tried another with same outcome. Next sleeve, same coffee, the first pod worked. Unable to return it, but within a minute using chat bot, a replacement is on the way. Great service. As for the coffee, Vienna Lingo, good but a tad weak. Maybe I'll use this one for regular size espresso. Stockholm Lungo is very good.

Pricey pods, but tasty. The only thing I didn't like is that I don't really like the very dark "intensivo" flavors as much so those pods were not as well liked. I would've preferred if they had a variety pack of lighter coffees. Oh well, small problem. I drank them all and discovered what I liked best, so I guess that was something gained!

A Nice Way to Have Morning Caffeine-- or Later in the Day

I've had an Nespresso machine for over a decade and really enjoy it. I also have a regular electric coffee maker. When I want a single or a quick cup of coffee, this is the perfect answer.

This package provides the opportunity to sample four different types of espresso. These are capsules of the "long" espresso, which makes a 3.7 ounce cup. Since I typically prefer my coffee a bit less bold than an espresso, I sometimes run a little more water through the machine and have essentially a regular sized cup of coffee. I prefer this to the popular brand of capsule coffee. It has a great flavor. Occasionally I might add a flavored capsule to give my cup just a hint of sweetness and flavor.
