When I was near my due date everyone was commenting how small my belly was, and my doctor suggested inducing me a week early... I figured my baby would be fairly small (born at 5lb 8 oz) and I wanted to get a few preemie clothes so I knew I would have something to fit her just in case. I scoured reviews and saw many parents' reporting certain preemie clothes were still too big to realistically be for a preemie baby.... These pajamas were only slightly big for her, I'm glad they have a little growing room. With her being on the small side, plus not having much body fat, she gets cold easily... These are almost perfect for visiting the hospital clinic for checkups, weighing, and tests. The only difficulty is trying to close the snaps when she's crying and kicking. It's plenty warm for the cold hospital, and protects her delicate skin in her car seat. The cotton fabric is soft and warm enough, just the right thickness. P.S. .... The preemie size DOES come with mitten cuffs/ fold over cuffs !!!
