I am very happy with my boots. I needed to wear them for a while before writing the review. No blisters or sore feet, good value for the brand, as I don’t need to have a brown pair which seemed to be more expensive. They’re perfect and run a little big which is what I needed. Warm, durable, function as a good boot should. I recommend these and expect to have these boots for years as durability will hold.

???????????????????? Comfortable, Durable, and Perfect for Any Trail!
Reviewed in the United States on September 26, 2024
The Columbia Women's Newton Ridge Hiking Boots have quickly become my go-to choice for outdoor adventures! These boots strike the perfect balance between comfort, durability, and style, making them ideal for both casual hikes and more rugged terrain.
Right out of the box, they felt incredibly comfortable with no break-in period needed. The lightweight design means I can wear them for hours without feeling weighed down, and the cushioned insole provides great support, even on longer hikes. Plus, the waterproof feature has been a game-changer—I've hiked through puddles, rain, and mud, and my feet stayed completely dry.
The grip on these boots is fantastic too. Whether I’m hiking uphill on rocky terrain or navigating slippery trails, they’ve provided excellent traction and stability. Not to mention, they’re stylish enough to wear around town after the hike!
If you're looking for a reliable, comfortable, and waterproof hiking boot, the Columbia Newton Ridge boots are an outstanding choice. They’ve exceeded all my expectations and have kept my feet happy on every adventure. Highly recommend!

Comfortable and Waterproof

These Columbia Newton Ridge Plus boots are exactly as described. I ordered the Cordovan/Crown color. There was no weird smell when opening the box. The fit is true to size, they are comfortable right out of the box and they lived up to the waterproof label. Feet stayed completely dry! No blisters, no problems! Worth every dollar! I haven’t worn them a lot yet, but they seem to be durable. The style is cute for jeans, leggings or shorts.

Hiked a glacier and walked around Iceland!!
Reviewed in the United States on October 29, 2024
I bought these for a trip to Iceland and they didn't need to even be broken in. Super comfortable, great ankle support, beautiful color, and most importantly: ACTUALLY WATERPROOF! They are true to size and have lasted through many hikes after my trip as well and don't show any signs of wear. Love them.

Great boots
Reviewed in the United States on October 11, 2024
I've had them for about 6 months now and I still love them. They are easy to put on, easy to clean, and easy to walk in. I didn't have a break in period which was great and they are overall a 10/10. I wear them daily for work and I can day they are comfortable and they don't hold in any smell. They also keep my feet warm in the cold and dry when it's wet.

Shoe size review
Reviewed in the United States on July 22, 2024
I was initially pretty nervous ordering these since there were many reviews about shoe size. These are my first pair of hiking boots and thought they were a pretty great price which is what drew me to them.
I’m one of the unfortunate people that depending on the shoe brand and shoe itself depends on my shoe size. It can be anywhere from size 5-6.5 and sometimes even 7 in some cases. I would say I probably purchase more in the 6-6.5 range.
That said, I was originally going to purchase these in 7 since I assumed I should not only take into account the shoe size they suggest but also socks and possible foot swelling while hiking. I know my size in EU and it’s always been on the dot as far being correct. I ended up then purchasing these in the EU size, which is 36 or 5 in US.
When I received them, I put on the socks I plan on wearing while hiking and slipped them on. I first just wore them while sitting on the couch. They felt tight and my feet felt cramped and painful. I thought it was just because they were a new pair of shoes. For reference, socks I plan on wearing are similar to those hanes white socks that go above the ankle.
I took them off for a bit after that and made them a little looser and put them back on to walk my dog on our running trail in my apartment complex. I felt my big toes were digging into the top of the shoe. They were uncomfortable and my feet still felt cramped. My smaller toes were going numb towards the end of the walk, which lasted around 15 mins. I ended up returning the size 5 or EU 36 . I reordered them a half size bigger, so 5.5 or 36.5. I feel this is more comfortable. My toes don’t feel like they’re digging into the top of the shoe. And I can walk around in them. They’re a little uncomfortable, but this feels more like uncomfortable since they’re brand new shoes versus how I felt earlier.
Grip on the bottom of the shoe feels solid while walking on dirt/forest floor and over tree roots. The shoe color is true to picture example they’ve given. They seem light weight and the back of the shoe where the ankle is doesn’t feel uncomfortable. My suggestion would be to purchase 1/2 size or even 1 size up from your shoe size to take into account socks and everything. I don’t have any other hiking shoe to compare these too. Would I purchase these again? As of right now, I absolutely would. Next time I plan on purchasing size 6 or EU 37 though.

They are comfortable, waterproof (to the extent I use them), and durable. I have my STATS in Amazon so they recommend what sizes I should buy based off reviews and this was spot on for these. I'm anywhere between a 9.5 & 10 and I got the 10 in these, per the reviews. Perfect fit. I wear compression style or regular calf high socks with them, not thick and they fit perfect.
I also have weak ankles and non existent arches, overpronation is what it's called, along with on and off bunion pain from years of working in the restaurant industry and being on my feet ALL DAY/NIGHT.
I work with my husband's landscape company and I needed something that was breathable, light weight, sturdy, waterproof ish, obviously fun colors was a plus! I wear these from mowing lawns, to fences, concrete mixing, patios and total yard redesign. So they are definitely getting beat on, plus I needed something to keep my weak ankles straight lol.
100% recommend these. Will have to buy another pair so I have them on standby, cause I know when footwear gets that much use you should really swap it out sooner rather than later.
Hope they have a fun fall/winter color to sport!
