I have HUGE update to this purchase! I was contacted by customer support after they saw my review about the issue we had with the cleats.
They have gone ABOVE AND BEYOND to correct the issue.
Of course they were sorry to hear about the problem I had with the cleats and wanted to make it right. They gave me a COMPLETE and FULL refund for the defective cleats and didn’t even have me send them back.
That in itself was awesome and I was extremely happy with that. I was then contacted again a few months later(after the holidays), by Celine from customer service. To say that she is the BEST is an understatement. Even after giving me a total refund, Celine sent me a NEW pair of cleats at no cost to me, she even went up a size were my child’s foot had grown!
They have TRULY stood by their product and their promise of customer satisfaction which is hard to find in a good corporation today. And as I said in the original post, the cleats ARE a well built, sturdy shoe and my kid LOVES them. I cannot explain how excited he was when he saw that he had the same “kind as last year” to start soccer again in a few weeks. He even asked me to pass on a Thank you to Celine for being so gracious!
I would definitely 100% recommend these shoes and this company. I am pleasantly surprised to see that there are companies that still take pride in their product and stand behind making things right if there is a problem.
Below is the original review that I left. I left it up because I wanted people to see that even before the refund and new cleats I thought the cleats were good, sturdy, great buy for the money. I truly believe that the smell thing was a fluke and that they were a defective pair of cleats. As you can see in the last line of that review, had that pair not been defective they would have had a 5 ⭐️Rating from me then.
We bought these cleats for spring soccer season and bought them a little big so he could wear them for fall session also(he’s 4). They fit as expected no issues there. Haven’t fallen apart at all which it great. HOWEVER-we started noticing an odd smell coming from his soccer bag. We have 6 dogs and at first we thought one of our dogs had peed on his bag(BIG NOTE:Our dogs DO NOT pee in the house or on things in the house). So we washed the bag. It didn’t help AT ALL. His WHOLE room started to smell like it. Yesterday we had a early morning game and the grass was still pretty wet. When we got home I sat them directly outside the back door on our deep freezer. It wasn’t until I opened the back door and was SLAPPED in the face with THAT smell, did I realize it was coming from THESE cleats! Now I know everyone is going to say after 2 seasons of soccer and sweating it’s no wonder they stink. NO Guys. THIS IS NOT NORMAL!!! I have 2 grown children that played soccer from 3-12 grades in school and have gone through many soccer shoes and KNOW what sweaty, stinky soccer cleats smell like. This is DIFFERENT!!!! Even my husband agrees. I do t know if it’s because the leather on the shoe has gotten wet with the dampness of the grass or what. But it’s AWFUL!!! If it weren’t for the smell I would give a 5 star ⭐️ rating.
