This really works for me. It looked so tiny, but once I pulled it on, it stretched just the right amount, makes me feel like I have a waist again! And it perfectly supports my 'lil old lady' girls without having to wear a bra...can i wear this to work without wearing a bra? With a top or blouse over it, I think I can...???? Think I might get another...

Thought I would hate it...

Attn: mid-age, pre/post-meno ladies!
Reviewed in the United States on August 24, 2024
Shapermint clearly doesn't need another positive review, but I'm here specifically to tell the middle-aged ladies dealing with menopause-related shape issues that this cami is quite a find! For reference, I'm 5'2", short-waisted, 190 lbs with most of my weight in the tummy area, and with D-cup breasts that have, yes, gone a bit south over the decades. I thought I might get the 3XL cami but decided to size down to the XXL per customer reviews, and this was a good choice as it's perfect for me. It not only smooths all the bumpy edges (definitely follow instructions and put it on from your feet, not over your head) and holds the girls comfortably in place (do a little extra tuck underneath for added support, though not necessary), but it does so with the lightest, stretchiest material that never makes me overheat - I get enough of that from hot flashes, thanks! I wear it all day and never get that "gotta rip the bra off" feeling - it's so comfortable for being so supportive, it's really perfect in that regard! I even like it better than the comfort-oriented bras I've purchased over the last year or so, and I really like those. So ladies, if you're in the same boat as me, this may also be the miracle cami you've been searching for!

VERY Comfortable But Not the Miracle The Hype Makes it Out to Be
Reviewed in the United States on October 26, 2023
So I haven't used any kind of shapewear since I was in high school (I am now 44 years old). And while I'm fine with my body shape, there are certain pairs of pants that fit a little more snuggly and cause a bit more of a muffin top. I had resisted getting a shapermint garment mostly because of the price. With a birthday gift certificate under my belt, I decided that now was a good time for me to give them a whirl, and I'm glad that I did.
I am about 5'6"~5'7" and 295 lbs and wear a 3xl or a size 24, so I went with a 4XL. If I wanted some actual serious suck and tuck action, I probably could have gotten away with a 3XL, but as this was my first shape wear garment in a long time, I went with the posted size recommendation.
The cami is COMFORTABLE, and while it doesn't take the rolls away completely (like the commercials and reels I've seen) it DOES make my jeans fit more comfortably and reduces the muffin top a bit. I have to wear this over a bra because it doesn't offer enough support for someone with my bustline, and I'm not sure that a 3xl would be comfortable over an underwire. (Yes I'm aware that they have a wireless bra atm)
I'm top heavy (44DD-E) and while the reels show women who aren't wearing a bra with this I will say that this top does NOT offer enough support for a super top heavy gal to get the kind of lift and support needed for everyday wear. But! It offers enough that if I didn't feel like getting full out dressed to go to the store, I would feel comfortable walking out of my house without a bra on if I was wearing this. It's a great stabalizer.
The one I got was black and went well down past my hips (which is exactly where I like my camis and tank tops to fall) and I wore it over light colored bra and panties and got NO show-through.
All in all I don't regret buying this cami at all (I'm a little upset that just AFTER I bought it there was a 3 for 2 sale but oh well), but I probably wouldn't invest too much more in other shapermint products. MAYBE a full body suit for when I'm wearing something formal, but I'm a little too big for a lot of the products they offer, which is a little disappointing, but understandable.
All in all a decent and comfortable product that I had NO problems getting into (even with my lower back arthritis) and something that I would probably recommend to friends, though I'll confess it's not as miraculous as the reels and hype make it out to be. The way the reels were telling it, I hoped for a little big more of a smoothing effect. If I went for a smaller size, I might have gotten that, but I'm not entirely confident that I would still be as comfortable as I am in the size that I got.

Not true to fit - best size up
Reviewed in the United States on September 6, 2024
This garment is not true to either the size chart on this web page or the the one on the garment. I wear a dress/blouse in a size 12 and bra size of 38D, with neither being tight fitting. I could barely get this thing on. It flattens me like a pancake and makes me short of breath. With that said, it is a nice quality and smooth. Just hate returning stuff, so I try to be careful with sizing. I like the Maidenform better.

Shapermint does it right EVERY TIME

This shaper isn't just for shaping it's SO secure and wearable with or without a bra. It's seamless and just a great quality. Definitely follow directions and put it on the way you would a mini skirt (not over your head lol) but that's not even a minor inconvenience. Sizing is all accurate, I didn't see a need to size up or down! Just buy what you normally wear unless you REALLY wanna over snatch that waist and have trouble breathing or being able to put it on.

Have one arm in a sling and still able to put on cami following directions. Comfortable and keeps all in its place. Perfect even for larger breasts.

Very comfortable, soft, snug fit.

Feels light a gentle hug and actually helped ease my anxious stomach. Do not expect miracles if you are out of shape, it pulls everything together, but you are not going to be instantly thin. Definitely helps to make clothing look more attractive.

It’s ok…..

I’m a maidenform girl. I tried this because of the price. It rolls at the bottom and doesn’t have the smoothing effect the maidenform compression shirts have. It’s not a bad, just not like my go to shirts.
