When I got the costume I first got rid of the dicky that it came with and used an actual dress shirt and tie, I think most people would agree that's the way to go. I took the costume and painted on some mold spots and rolled around in some dirt to get it looking gritty. It fit fine except the pants kept coming undone and I had to use a pin to hold them together. It has a zipper but no button, just velcro, and it's pretty weak.
The costume was a hit and I wore it to my school costume contest and won first place! I also did Beetlejuices voice and mannerisms which helped a lot. If you but this costume, it'll work great but you'll want to make it your own a bit!

The standard costume (Rubie's #888735) uses a shiny, satin-esque, very thin material. The jacket has a single dot of Velcro where the button should be and the lapels are backed with foam, which look like they will flip over to expose the reverse and ruin the look of the costume. The included dickie with tie is very small, it only covers the front and ends just below the chest area. The jacket is snug in the armpits and the sleeves are too long, but sized correctly across the chest. I did not try on the pants but they have a cinch and tie closure similar to pajamas.
The deluxe costume (Rubie's #888736) uses a matte woven fabric that more closely resembles suit-type material. The jacket features a single button closure. It fits snug in the armpits, the sleeves are the correct length, but if i button it I need to suck in my gut in order to prevent it from stretching and pulling at the button. The lapels on the deluxe jacket have a much better appearance over the standard version but the jacket is not lined. The included dickie with tie comes down almost to the waist on the front and the back, and it has strings on the sides to tie it. Again, I did not try on the pants but they also use a cinch and tie closure. I plan on wearing my own white shirt and black tie to complete the costume.
For me it was worth the extra cost for the deluxe version of the costume. If you are more cost-conscious, the standard version looks fine.

(I did not base my feedback off of this tidbit, but the seller only gave me 50% credit back because of all this so be careful. My feedback is based on the product alone).
The rest of the costume fit OK, but the slipperiness of the fabric took away from the enjoyment of the character. The "shirt" is also held together with little squares of velcro. My neck was much larger than the weird vest-like would allow, so I had to use safety pins to keep it together.
