I had bought two of my daughters the same boot. My oldest who is 10 went to adjust the elastic cord for the laces and it popped out of the holder. Luckily I some how wiggled it back in, but I don’t think it will hold too long. Other then that the boots are cute and they are very cozy in side.

The above was my initial review. The company reached out to me and went above and beyond with the costumer service. They told me to keep the original pair and offered me either a new pair of boots or a money refund. I picked a new pair of boots. They were so great. With a world of lack of customer service in all aspects of life it’s so refreshing to see a company that actually cares.

I have nothing bad to say about these boots. They are amazing! They have kept my sons feet warm and are very durable. I think the only thing he doesn't like is they're hard to get off for him. But he's only 5 years old. We love them though and can pull them off easily. This is definitely a great winter boot for the kiddos.

Love the look of these boots! They're so cute, my kids are excited to wear them - and they held up for one winter of light to moderate usage.

My only complaint was the pull-strings to tighten. We ordered two different boots of this same kind, and both had the tightening pieces break, fall off, or jam and not tighten. Since we only used them for backyard play this year - not a huge deal. We just tightened the elastic strings as much as possible and attempted to tie them off, put their snowpant elastic in the boot and the snowpant over the boot to keep out as much snow as possible. But they loosened with wear and would have to be tightened for extended play.

Ordered a 13 for my daughter who wears a 12 currently. Returning them as they’re too small, and the hard rubber toe caps bite into the tops of her feet when she walks.

An update to my original review:
I received new boots from TopShoes and was happy that the return/replacement process was as easy as it was. The new boots suffered from the same thing as many others have stated/shown, namely, the tab that holds the 2 ends of the shock cord together pulled right off. With a small screwdriver (or tip of a knife blade - CAREFULLY), you can pop the locking tab open, reinsert the shock cord ends, and close it back up again. This is what I did, and I also melted the ends a bit with a lighter, so they were “thicker”, and stood less chance of pulling out again. I honestly can’t bump up my star rating because of the annoyance of having to do this with both boots before they were wearable. I don’t think I’d buy these again, in favor of getting something from a store that I can put my hands on before buying.
Now, for the good. Customer service reached out to me after I’d processed my return with amazon, and offered a free pair of boots (what I’m basing my updated on). My daughter does like the color, and they do fit better than the size I would normally buy for her (ordered up a size), and she’s not told me her feet get cold in them. As we’ve only recently had our first snow, I can’t attest to waterproofing, or if they’ll even work well when it comes to playing in the snow, but I’ve got my fingers crossed that there’ll be no more issues.
Your experience may differ, but mine has been pleasant, even if a bit annoying.

They lasted all winter and kept my daughters feet nice and warm and dry in the snow. They look just like the picture also, which is nice.
