It’s cute, roomy, insanely comfortable, and sturdy enough for rugged outside work, hunting, or hiking through thorns and brush.
This thorough sizing review is for the short ladies with questions about the fit! I’m 5’4” 130lbs and I got the Small Short. The length is perfect. It’s roomy enough for layering under leggings and a hoodie in cold weather, but if I wanted a snugger fit I could have gone down to an XS. It does have a tiny bit of kangaroo pouch action in the low belly—and tightening the straps doesn’t help this, it just gives me a wedgie. But I’m also fairly flat-chested and I suspect it was made with the assumption there would need to be room for boobs. :) So, my short gals, if you have boobs, this is probably gonna be a perfect fit and the kangaroo pouch won’t be an issue.

5.0 out of 5 stars Everything you want from Carhartt

5.0 out of 5 stars Love these for farm work!
I bought these for general farm work and they are now my favorite overalls that I own!! I have several pairs of overalls for each season, Duluth gardening overalls for spring, and Insulated carhartts for winter.however I didn't have a mid weight pair yet for fall weather and cooler temps so I bought these. For reference I'm size 14 Jean's and I bought these in a large. When I first tried these on they fit good but were a bit on the tight side, however being brand new I knew they would wear in. After their first wash however they felt like they shrunk quite a bit, a title disappointed, but after wearing them 2 days afterwards they fit even better than Before!! The material of these is amazing! Not too heavy like your standard duck material, and nice and soft with a little stretch in them. another feature I love is that the shoulder straps don't have any elastic on them like your regular overalls,They are just the duck material. Which is nice because they actually stay in place instead of constantly having to adjust the straps like with ones with elastic. I'm 5'8" and the length is perfect. I'm always mucking in manure and hate when the bottoms get dirty though so I just roll these up though and it's just fine! These keep me clean when I do chores and surprisingly they aren't hot on warm days. Can't say enough good things about them! So comfy and worth every penny!

5.0 out of 5 stars Well made
I ordered the Carhartt overalls for when I deal with mulch in my garden. I got dark brown and love it.
The fit. These are overalls used for working, not looking cute. They fit well and are a little tapered. From pocket to well past knee is reinforced. There are pockets on the bib. Smallish. The size of a a shovel handle or gardening shears.
The straps are SO easy to lengthen and shorten. The metal piece that connects the straps to the front bib are incredible. One just turns the do-hickey, fit it through a metal "button hole". and easily pull it through. Great design.
I got an XS as I'm 5' and under 120 pounds. The legs are likely a 32L like most jeans and pants. There is a little stretch. Rolling them up does not work. I will bring these to my tailor and have them shortened. It's worth it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Completely awesome except the straps!
I love love love the fit and comfort of these overalls! They are soft as can be right out of the bag, stretchy, and feel like they’ll be really durable.
I also love the warm brown color, which is a rusty earth time. I usually take a size Small in clothes but Medium was suggested for me, and it fits just right: roomy without being baggy, and surprisingly flattering.
However! Fastening and unfastening the straps is strangely awkward. The little buttons are rectangular and have to be maneuvered just so through the metal clasps or they won’t go through. Not a good design at all. Especially if you’ve been working outside all day and dash in for a bathroom break at the last possible minute ; ) I don’t know why Carhartt would make that design choice, but oh well. Still a very good purchase!

5.0 out of 5 stars I wear these for wood refinishing and love them!
They are exactly what I wanted, something comfortable and these make it so that I don’t have to keep tucking in my shirt in a pair of pants while doing the wood refinishing.
I ordered the Small Short (love this size for me) and that’s what’s in the photos, I’m 5’3”, 112 lbs, 32D, age 55. Someone that is younger with my same height/weight might fit in an XS Short, though.
The dark brown was on sale at the time I bought it, so gave it a go. I intentionally took the photos after sanding a piece of furniture so you can see how sawdust looks on the dark brown. It shows up a lot. The Carhartt Brown might be better to hide sawdust. Last photo to show the sawdust (and paint from a past project) and how they are around the ankles.
With my height, the length is good, and not too short. I could have tightened the straps, but when I do, the seat goes up my butt too much so this is how I wear them. I really do love them and just ordered another pair in the lighter color.
I’ve worn them a lot and they’ve held up well. I admit that I do hang them dry, since worry about them shrinking if I use the dryer. I like how they fit me now, so want to keep them that way.
