Expensive pants for work but well worth it. Tough flexible material with tons of great pockets and super comfy. T2 is lightweight enough but I could see them being too hot in the summer. I have gotten them extremely wet while working and they are close to 100% waterproof. If you go waist deep in water you'll be soaked but they can't take a good bit of rain/splashing and you won't even notice it.

Snag, water, and stain resistant, they stay above the waste (no plumbers crack). The most comfortable pants I have ever worn, it's hard not wear outside of work, but why not, they look great.

5.0 out of 5 stars Modern work pants for the modern worker.

I tried these pants because I thought there just must be something better out there. Specifically, I just got tired of heavy cotton work pants that soak up sweat, oil, and water and never seem to let it go.

    - Function - The modern material is awesome in 2 ways. First, it doesn't soak up sweat or water, so when I have to kneel on a wet surface and my knees get wet, the pants are dry again in 15 minutes. Try that with Carhartt pants or jeans. Not happening, you've got wet pants all day. IMO this is a major benefit.

The other major benefit to the modern material these pants are made from is that dust and durt can't cling to the pants. Sawdust just hits them and drops right off. When I'm using a string trimmer, the grass clippings again will just fall off instead of sticking to the pants which is what always happens when I'm wearing jeans or cotton work pants.

The material is very tough, this is my first pair, but I would estimate that especially the high wear areas will last much longer than jeans. I wear through the knees on jeans and work pants and they also wear at the front at the bottom of the pockets from sticking tools in the pockets. This modern material appears to be much harder wearing.

    - Comfort - These pants are very comfortable, the range of motion is excellent when kneeling or bending down. The waist is "canted" forward so the waistband doesn't cut into me in the front when I'm leaning forward, and this is a major comfort feature for me. The pants have great pocket placement.

The "swishing" sound is a thing, but IMO the noise the pants make goes way down after 5-6 cycles through the washer and dryer.

    Opportunities for improvement:

First, I don't think the phone pocket on the right side is deep enough for the current gen of phones, it only covers about 2/3 of my phone making me concerned it could fall out. This pocket would have been fine for the phones we had 2-3 years ago, but it needs an update.

Secondly, these pants do NOT work if you are using any tool that sparks. Angle grinder, welder, chop saw, etc. If it throws sparks, you will burn holes in these pants. That's just the way it is with a synthetic material. I keep an apron in my shop so I can have protection when using the grinder and angle grinder, but be aware.

4.0 out of 5 stars Decent pants, not true navy color
Reviewed in the United States on November 17, 2024
While the pants seemed to be decent quality, and the fit was nice, I ordered (and received, according to the label) navy blue pants, but they were VERY gray. Maybe had a hint of blue, but they were definitely a slate gray more than navy blue. Working in EMS, I had to return them as they were not a true navy.
Comfortable when I tried them on, thick but lightweight material. Noisy to move around in, though. Ended up going with 5.11 Apex pants instead.

Love these pants. Some of the most comfortable and functional work pants. They stretch enough for you to move and do your job unrestricted. Pockets and pencil holder are well placed and logical. Durable material is holding up. Have already bought more and will be in the future as well..

Absolutely love these pants, I received the T1’s first as a Christmas present and now have purchased the T2’s myself. I would say personally the fit/style is great, not baggy but not skinny jeans. Favorite pants I’ve ever owned. Figure I would mention that I measured my waste and came out to 37-37 1/2 inches and a 34 in these pants fit me perfectly. Material is unmatched for mobility. A bit pricey but I’m confident they will last which makes me believe I’m paying for a quality product.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect pants for any trade.

These fit great, feel great, look great, and they’re extremely tough. Loads of pockets for tools and anything else you want to carry onto the job with you. They’re made extremely durable, after almost a year of owning these pants I have just one small thread loose from getting snagged on a sharp piece of copper. As a plumber, the water resistance does not go unnoticed. These are honestly the perfect pants for any kind of trade work.

3.0 out of 5 stars I want to like them more…

For the price, I think there are pants out there that handle warm weather better, maybe I misunderstood what these pants were for. Very well made and durable, but I felt like they trapped heat/moisture more so around my lower legs. For $90 I was hoping to be cooler, temp wise, I ended up just looking cool. They are a little loud, but I imagine that will get better as they wear in. Nice number of pockets that are well utilized, and the fit was outstanding. If they kept me cooler I would rate 5 stars all the way.
