    I bought this as a gift for my husband and he has been wearing it ever since! It is incredibly warm and looks fantastic on! This jacket is well worth the cost and seems to be great quality that will last him for years to come. The wash ability of this jacket is easy. I put it in the washer and gang to dry. I love that he can add a hood later if he chooses but that’s why he wanted this one specifically. His old jacket has a hood that’s very big and bulky so this one suits his likes much better. Great functionality as it can be dressed up or down!

    Pros:
    - Blanket lining and insulated sleeves keep the user warm.
    - Duck material is durable. Blocks wind and light rain.
    - Able to attach hood (separate purchase).

    Cons:
    - Sleeves are a slightly long.
    - Because of the materials and emphasis on warmth and durability, the jacket is slightly stiff.

    Recommendation:
    - For similar heights, if you want to layer and have a slightly more comfy fit, choose medium. If not layering and want a better, tighter fit, choose small.

    You can never go wrong with a carhart.Best quality they always fit true to size. You get warmth, rain proof and comfort. Sure you can find coats that look the same and may even cost less but nothing compares to a carhart! They are indestructible. The only reason I purchased this one wasI was tired of seeing my husband in the same coat for twenty years. Literally...LOL

    Excellent jacket, very warm and fits well. There are a good amount of pockets to carry the basics. The outer material is tough and will definitely last and the inner ‘blanket’ material is softer than it used to be. The only gripes I have are that they aren’t made in the US anymore and the little strap that you would use to hang the jacket on a hook sits right at the back of your neck and the material used is a bit scratchy. Overall, it’s a great value!

    The Carhartt brand always delivers on excellent quality. This jacket is stylish, warm and I like the fit. I live in Alaska, and I've been working outside almost daily, trying to finish renovating a shed before it snows. I have occasionally needed to take this off in 30-40 degree Fahrenheit temps because I get so warm. I love how deep the side pockets are, and the inside pockets are perfect for stowing my phone so it doesn't get damaged or full of sawdust. I look forward to wearing this jacket for years to come.

    It’s a classic jacket. It’s rated level 1 warm rating, the lowest in terms of warmth level so I would say this is meant for brief periods of cold or if you layered underneath. So fall weather down to high 30 degrees F or low 40s. It’s fairly heavy and thick but very durable and will last a long long time. I’ve already wash it according to the directions and it held up fine. Love the classic look.

    The jacket fit perfectly. The arms were a little long, but not a problem. The quality is very high as it is with all Carhartt products I own. Carhartt Men's Relaxed Fit Duck Blanket Lined Detroit Jacket seems to always stay in style. I am 6' and 180 pounds and ordered a large and it fits great and has a lot of room to move.
    I highly recommend this Detroit- style jacket!
