To stop any squeaking when walking in these, use a little oil. I couldn't figure out why these squeak. I finally realized that it is coming from the clasps. Undo the across-the-toe clasps and use a little coconut oil or something. Rub it under and around the insides of the clasps. Problem solved. You have to do this every few days or so as the oils dries out.
After 7 months, I am about to put these up for the winter. They are still my favorite and most comfortable "budget" earth-type shoes. The one thing I have noticed is that in the past few weeks, they have developed a slight creaking sound when I walk. I don't know how to fix this. It might be just this pair? At any rate, I still give them high marks and I might spray them with some conditioning oil before I store them for the winter to see if that helps.
I was ready to send these back for a refund the minute I pulled them out of the box. These shoes just felt too light and cheap, like something from a Dollar Store bin of The Worst. But then... Wow. I put these on just to get photos for the review and fell in love. Imagine a shoe that feels a lot like one of those thick chef's mats. I think that getting the right size is important. I wear a Womens' US 8.5 and have medium-wide, flat (fallen arches) feet. These are in size 9 and fit perfectly.
These are the comfiest sandal/slides/whatever you call them. And they are replacements for the UnderArmour that I was gifted and cannot afford to buy for myself. Now I never will have to because I have these. I have already ordered a pair of the bathroom slides and next month will order a 2nd pair of the slides. I hope the bathroom shoes are as comfy.
Pros:
-The adjustable buckles. The shoes already felt great but are even better when I adjust them to be a bit tighter.
- The fit of the shoe is what makes it great. I really like the way the molding cups the heels. The balls under the arch and toe are what give so much support when walking. Without them, I know they would not feel as soothing to my bad feet. It takes a minute to get used to this. At first, it was a slightly weird feeling. When I wore them for several hours, they were giving so much support that I now love the molding.
- They are so light. Like with some similar styles I've owned, these don't have that uncomfortable heaviness that tires me out when wearing for long periods. After wearing them all day for the 2 days I've had them, my feet feel like I'm not wearing shoes (except for the protection!).
- They work just as well outside on the pavement (no snow or water right now) as they do inside.
- Even though these are easy to slip in & out of, they stay on my feet while walking. I've had lightweight slides with a non-cloth insole that are prone to be kicked off while walking. The insole is not slippery at all (I wear them sans socks).
- I don't think that these are going to "break down" as fast as foam-type insoles. At first, I thought these were hard plastic but they are just very, very firm. You can feel the give if you press the insole with your finger or step on the curved back of the heel.
There are no negatives to these shoes. As I said, I can barely afford to but I would be willing to my grocery budget so that I could splurge and order at least 2 more pairs. And it's not really a splurge since comfortable shoes are so necessary. I have fallen arches and I suddenly gained a lot of weight due to the steroids I have to take for a medical condition.
My SIL is a Trauma Department nurse - on her feet and moving fast for hours at a time - and is always looking for comfortable shoes. She is a tiny thing so won't be putting as much pressure on these as I do. I have already emailed to tell her about them.
It sounds pithy but these really are game-changing for me.

Yes! Can adjust to a narrower width!
Reviewed in the United States on May 11, 2024
Okay first let me say I can be anywere from a 9-10 shoe size. In winter with closed toes I have to get a 10, but in summer I can go from a 9-91/2 with sandals. I'm assuming my feet are narrow because if I get any sandals that aren't adjsutable they are too wide. At the same time I'm always nervous to order a narrow size because I'm afraid they will be too tight. I know they say you should adjust your shoe size if you do a different width so I just get too confused on what to order. I measured the circumferance of my instep and it is 8 inches.
Next, the shoe has buckles on both straps. Before I even put the shoes on I first adusted the top one to the last hole and adjusted the other one up one hole leaving one hole to go If necessary. I did my right foot first and it seemed to fit pretty good except I felt the top strap was a little too loose. When I adjusted my left shoe it seemed to loose. So I adjusted the top strap into that last available hole. Once I did that it felt a little snug but better than looser. I may get my awl out and put another hole on the top strap because with the top a little more snug I could put the other strap back to where there is one hole showing. I think then they will fit really well.
I just got these in so I haven't worn them yet so I will post an edit to my review after I've worn them for awhile, but I wanted to get this out there now in case someone else is looking for a shoe that adjusts well for width. I bought a different pair on Amazon last summer that had a velro adjustable strap but it did not adjust far enough.
These are plastic or rubber but they are not hard, the material feels soft and it doesn't feel like you've got a hard shoe on.

Hot Pink and Pretty!
Reviewed in the United States on January 25, 2023
I had pretty much destroyed my Gucci flops, needed replacing with as useful, perhaps a little less costly. FOUND these and boy was I surprised. Who knew I could buy modern flip flops that "aren't" mom's (or my mom) flip flops, don't slide in them, don't trip in them, especially don't break toes in them! I didn't break my toes but my poor mother did! She'd broken several "little" toes running feet first, toes bared, then the sound !@!#*+! Found out later that scream was mom cursing all the furniture! Seemed to me flip flops were to blame, not furniture unless... it had a special grudge to square w/mom? She didn't like the washing machine much either.... hmm?
Either way I wasn't going to push MY luck! So I NEVER, not EVER wore flip flops because of possible toe curses.
So here I am, a 3rd generation native Floridian, won't wear open toe flats anywhere, beach included. I wore BOOTS, yes western boots most everywhere and never broke anything they covered. I got a pass being 8. Making sure I'd always have a need for boots, next came the horse that went w/them and never looked back!
Fast forward to now. I am not 8 anymore, horses long gone, replaced w/ex's and kids.** I should've kept the horses...and the kids.** Now those kids DO/DID wear flip flops! I didn't choose them, they did. It was enough seeing nothing bad happen to take a chance plus they were too cute! I was hooked after initial pair of Fitflops, cousins to the older, angrier ones of my youth & mom's toes.
First pair I bought, after feeling no grudges held. Stayed w/them for years, buying others at times but finally coming to conclusion I needed to find $$ pair.
That time was now, Gucci's failed smell test from shower use. So I began on Amazon, sure I'd find the perfect, cheaper Fitflops. Instead found these odd little rubber look-a- likes (well kinda). Read reviews, good. Looked, looked, put in basket and finally ordered.
ANYONE who needs, wants, hates or any other reasons or excuses they can imagine NOT to buy these is doing themselves a disservice. BIG TIME.
Once received, ripped open to examine. Oh My! How cute can these get? I mean they're like rubber, good thing, have adjustable plastic buckles so as to get your size just right and they are the most awesome colors available! I was worried about plastic buckles but I wear them from shower out to wherever, forgetting I still have them on! The buckles have taken a beating, worrying me @times believing they would bust! Nope, not even. They are contoured to keep your foot in place, molded for your foot to settle "into" with gripping ridges on bottom to keep any sliding from occurring. They will begin to smell a "little" if wearing them on humid days or going directly from a wet source w/wet feet into sandals without removing to let shoe/feet dry. This is just the nature of feet & shoes, they sweat. However, they are super easy cleaning, wipe, swipe, done.
As to way they mold to your feet within the sandal, it has kept out dirt or other nasty stuff that might normally get under your skin, lol! They're a beautifully bright color, comfortable as you could want and did I mention CHEAP? Wow! Something you can put on from bed to bath, put back on as you ready yourself to go out, put back on, out door, shop, home... rinse feet, w/me I clean bottoms of shoes from all walking.
They don't come in 1/2 sizes, say to go up. I wear a 6 1/2 normally, got 6, perfect. In fact a bit long but I have very wide, short feet, as in"Flintstone feet".
Just buy them, pick a few colors you think you'll like, that you'll love at 1st sight. This coming from a real shoe snob from way back as in I won't buy ANY shoes not total genuine leather, throughout & hand sewn, rubber bottoms & heels.... except footwear that shouldn't be.
**1/24/23: Been wearing daily for? months and months w/not 1 problem. On sale now too!
