    Shopping for shoes for three boys at the same time is no easy task, so I was glad to come across the Merrell Trail Chaser. I’ve had good experiences with Merrell shoes for myself, but this was my first time trying their kids' line. Honestly, the price and the brand were what caught my attention, especially since other kids’ shoes from unknown brands were more expensive on Amazon.

    The color selection was a nice bonus—I was able to get each of my boys their own color, which made it easy to keep track of whose shoes were whose. More importantly, all three say the fit is great, and I haven’t heard a single complaint. We went on a family hike recently, and the shoes held up well. The kids had no issues with comfort, and the grip on the soles gave me peace of mind that they were stable on rough terrain.

    Overall, I’m really pleased with these shoes. They’re solid, comfortable, and well-priced, especially for a trusted brand like Merrell.

    This is an excellent sneaker! I chose this pair because they come in half sizes, which is perfect for my 9-year-old son who is outgrowing size 3 but finds size 4 too big. Given that they are made by Merrell, I expected high quality, and these shoes did not disappoint. My son has been wearing them since we got them, and he says he really likes them. He even mentioned that they make him a better runner, which I consider a great bonus.

    The sneakers are well-made with a comfortable insole, perfect for all-day wear and active play. I would definitely recommend these sneakers and plan to get them in size 4 for the upcoming school year. Highly recommend!

    We’ve only had the Merrell Kids' Trail Chaser Hiking Sneakers for about a week, but they are already perfect for my son! He has autism and often struggles with taking his shoes off, but these are easy for him to put back on by himself. They are incredibly durable, and we feel confident that his feet will stay dry while hiking. We will definitely be purchasing again when he outgrows these! Highly recommend!

    We have ordered these twice for our toddler. They're great shoes, quite durable, great traction for running on rugged terrain, and plenty of room for his wide feet and toes, but the bungee design leaves something to be desired. You might as well be trying to put a typical narrow shoe on, because the opening to get the child's foot into the shoe is pulled so tight by the bungee that it must be jammed and wrestled onto the foot. We clip the bungee and re-tie the shoe looser so it can be pulled on without the distress caused by forcing it onto his foot.

    I bought a pair of Merrell's about 18 months ago for my grandson. I bought this pair of them and added 2 sizes for good measure. They were too big, so I kept them for next year and went down a size and ordered another pair. The first pair wore like iron and my grandson is very hard on shoes. He a very active first grader now going to second grade. He loves the new ones and is happy he will have a new pair next spring. I recommend these shoes highly. I'll leave this same feedback for both shoes that I ordered.

    These are ideal for young hikers
    the construction is firm, but not so hard that they won't like them or that they feel uncomfortable.
    the no tie set up is safer, and easier for kids on a hike (and parents who don't want to stop all the time for re-tying
    they break in very easily - he didn't have blisters, sore feet, fatigue, or any discomfort - and he likes the look!

    I was looking for a sneaker that would hold up to a 5 year old, I think I finally found it! The sizes run perfect. He says they're comfortable, lightweight and they haven't stretched out like most sneakers his size! A keeper!
