5.0 out of 5 stars Great item, exactly as described

We received the coin after a very fast delivery, and were really pleased by the quality of it.

First of all, the coin seems to be genuine. The color, the shape, the mold - all of it seems accurate as per my research to verify if it was a fake or not. Price-wise, since it is a bronze coin, it's not surprising to be that cheap, it wasn't even worth much at the time of the roman empire. So as a whole, the product is worth it.
Second of all, the presentation is really excellent. It is presented in its own personal protection, as seen on pictures. It however doesn't impair how it looks, so you can enjoy it without fear of rusting. On top of that, opposite to the coin is the certificate, which not only provides quality insurance but also a brief description of the time period and coin manufacturing at the time.

Considering the many coins you can find online, I was impressed by the price/quality of this precise product. I might buy a few more as gift, for they are perfect piece of history that everybody should have.

5.0 out of 5 stars I bought 2 with different results, will update

I bought two coins, one from ACH which is listed as the Amazon prime seller that comes up for the item, then I selected one from seller Beverly Oaks LLC, which was listed for 8.99 and prime but didn't indicate anything different from the photo. Both coins arrived as expected. One coin came in a very nice plastic presentation pouch with a COA that looked well printed, and the coin was sealed in a well fitted sleeve, just generally an excellent presentation. The coin looks bronze or copper, I'm not sure. It's small, pretty chewed up but the head on the front is pretty detailed so not bad. The second coin I received came in a standard coin sleeve, stapled shut and no plastic sleeve. The COA wasn't as nicely printed, and was bent at the corner. The coin itself was actually not bad, pretty big, looks like iron maybe, but I'm not sure. I'm going to research and figure out what I've got here because they're obviously very different. Unfortunately I can't tell which seller sent me which coin...thanks Amazon for tossing it all in a padded envelop with no invoice and nothing denoting which seller is which in case there's a problem! I've added some photos of the packing sleeves which have inventory stickers. I expect the sellers will be able to distinguish which is theirs. And I hope the seller with the nicer presentation will respond to this review since many people are hoping to receive what is in the photo, and end up with what I got in that second coin (just a stapled sleeve and slip of paper). As for both the coins, I'll let folks judge the photos. It's for my son and he loves Rome so as long as he's pleased, I'm happy. I will say that the plastic sleeve is better for long term durability and I wish both coins had come with it. But since I only paid 8.99 for the second (the one from Beverly LLC) I wouldn't be surprised if that's the one with the cheaper presentation.

5.0 out of 5 stars Truely awesome

I ordered my coin on Friday December the 14th and had it the following Thursday! The coin is in better condition than I expected considering the low price. I can clearly make out a profile on the front and symbol on the back. I studied ancient coins in college and it appears to be authentic. The information card that came with the coin is fascinating and adds so much to the piece. Because of the recession I didn't have much money to get my husband a nice Christmas gift. He a coin nut! We exchanged gifts today and he LOVES it. I know I will be back to purchase a better coin for him for his birthday because this purchase was such a great experience.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice little coin

The coin that I received was in good condition. It is quite old as it claimed to be and it was minted between 240 and 410 A.D. to be circulated throughout Roman Empire.

One thing I liked about this coin is the neat little pocket it comes in. The coin is packed in a clear plastic with a small Certificate of Authentication on one side and information on coin (when it was made, how, and where was it used) on the other side. I liked this coin so much that I might order few more for my collection. Great coin, fast delivery, and a very satisfied costumer.

It’s certainly unique and in the ballpark of what I wanted. But the markings on each side are hard to see.

3.0 out of 5 stars Fun. Certificate of authenticity is obviously a joke. But I do think they are semi real.

Bought as a joke gift. (Pink Elephant)

Probably real because… The quality is so dismal that if they were fake, I think that they would make them more marketable with a hint of a date or something more shady like a Caesars face. These do feel like extremely old scrap medal but still they add something fun to a coin collection. That being said I’d probably rather just buy a pristine reproduction that looks cooler. (Even if it said copy, like a fake trade dollar or spanish treasure) I’m into shiny things, not really expecting to find a diamond in the rough on Amazon for profit. So if it’s for fun, do it. I just wanted to fool one of my friends into thinking that they would end up on pawn stars

Bought mine at a great discount, was skeptical after seeing some photos of what buyers received. Mine came in a timely manner. The coin and COA are inside a rubber like casing for presentation (will stand up on its own when opened). I was skeptical of the authenticity of it. I looked up the signer (it’s printed, not written) on google. The signer does work for a reputable company that has been around for more than 50 years that basically wholesale buys old coins and then sells them. My coin was in great condition in comparison to some of the ones buyers posted. I suppose it’s the luck of the draw. If you want further information google Robin L Danziger (COA signer)

Would buy again for the price I paid, would be good for a history enthusiast or even just a cool conversation piece.

Hope this helps

Ryan
