    Finally! I've purchased world coins several times through different vendors. I'm always getting scammed. So I keep ordering, trying to get a variety of coins. Finally, it's happened. My order showed in less than 24hrs with Prime. I counted 110 coins exactly in my batch. And there were many countries to include the USSR and S Africa. Several coins are from pre 1950's. I quickly went through the batch but did not identify and duplicates. I did get several different coins from the same country, but I expect that. Coins are circulated but many were in great condition. None were in poor. Very thankful to finally have a good variety of coins.

    I love collecting foreign coins and trying to get them from as many destinations as possible. I was very satisfied with my first experience. The 100 coin set I received had a good variety of coins, some new, some old. All of them were coins, no tokens of any sort, which was great. I look forward to sorting these out and putting them into a book. :)

    The only issue I'd say about this product, is that the coins are pretty dirty. After looking at all 100 coins, I had black fingers and felt pretty grimy. There were only 2-3 coins I really couldn't identify as they were faded or had something stuck them.

    These issues are not something that would deter me from purchasing this again. I love the surprise and will definitely be ordering again to see what else I get! :)

    20+ out of the 100 coins were Canadian with a large majority of them the 1cent coin. There were a few old coins were from Ireland and Belgium before they moved to the Euro. However, overall disappointed because 75% were canadian, Mexican, Euro and Turkish coins.

    I ordered 2 bags; one for Christmas, and one for my birthday. The first bag from Christmas came in a glittery gold bag, and there looked to be more than 100 coins, though I didn't count. Out of that bag, I got very good coins; including a 1920 Zanzibar coin (horrible condition), an unknown dated British penny (the bigger kinds, seemed to be a 1800's era one) that was also in bad condition. The best out of that bag, though, was the 1942 1 franc in great condition and worth about $10-50. I also got a variety of coins from around the world, with a little influence on Brazilian coins. That bag, all in all, was great.

    The second bag wasn't as much. It came in a velvet bag as shown in the cover picture of the product, in 2 seperate plastic bags that looked to hold around 25 coins each. These bags were not good. There was too many British pennies and Euro coins. I was ok with the Euro coins, but most of them turned out to be French, although there was a Luxembourgish one. Other than the Euro and British pennies, I got a decent variety. There was a Tongan coin, a Bahamian coin, and a Ghanaian coin, along with an East Caribbean States quarter.

    I would recommend buying this bag overall, as you will get coins from many countries as shown (about 50-60 countries per bag). However, it is a 50/50 chance of having old dates and few duplicates.

    I'll start with what I didn't like. The package had a jumble of coins in a bag so the knocked together and further degrade the condition. Also, there was no guide at all to say what was included, so I spend 3.5 hours on the internet trying to identify what coins these were. (Try translating dates from the far east or middle east...) I liked that there were only a few duplicates, and that many countries were represented. The typical coin in here is worth less than 10 cents US, but I got three that were in the $5-6 range.

    THIS HAS BEEN MY WORST INVESTMENT EVER ON AMAZON.COM. FROM THE LOT OF COINS, I GOT THESE REPEATED:
    THAILAND 1 BAHT, 5 EA; PHILIPINES 1 PISO, 5 EA; KOREA 100 WON, 6 EA; AUSTRALIA 10 CENTS, 6 EA; POLLAND 10 GROSZY, 5 EA; JAPAN 1 YEN, 5 EA; FRANCE 1 FRANC 8 EA; MEXICO 10 CENTS, 10 EA; ENGLAND 1 PENNY 16 EA.!!!!!!!!
    COULD YOU IMAGINE MY DISSAPOINTMENT WHEN OPENING THE PACKAGE AND REALIZING AMAZON BAGS THREE TO SIXTEEN OF THE SAME COINS AND SHIPS THEM, WHEN THEY CLEARLY ADVERTISE " GET MORE THAN 100 DIFFERENT COINS FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD " !!!! I LIVE IN ECUADOR AND OBVIOUSLY IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR ME TO SHIP ALL THIS CRAP BACK BUT BELIEVE ME, IF I WAS IN THE US, I WOULD HAVE DONE IT THE SAME DAY!!!!
    DON'T YOU EVER BUY THESE COINS. THEY WILL BE A TOTAL DISSAPOINTMENT FOR YOU. I GUARANTEE!!

    23 Duplicates of exact coin denomination and date.

    Exactly 100 coins. So by "different" then 77 differ by the date+denomination.

    This collection had LOTS of Bahamas (24 same denomination) coins and bunch of Canada coins (12 same denomination).

    The rest vary as batches from different countries. The smaller batches are fine for the collection as the do vary a bit more by date and pressing.

    Some of the differences of the same type denomination coins are the date differences.
    Price per pound is about 2 to 3 times what you would pay to a local coin dealer. We knew that when making the purchase but were curious to see what kind of variety one gets from Amazon coin purchases, or other online bulk coin purchases.

    If you like shiny coins from around the world, you will get some of that here.

    There really isn't any value in these coins other than their weight in base metal which we believe is a fraction of the sold price of this lot.

    It's not all negative in this review. There is an OK amount of nice coins for the beginning collector.

    The description is far from correct and should be adjusted.
