5.0 out of 5 stars Solved my wi-fi coverage problem
Reviewed in the United States on January 5, 2023
Had been having problem with Verizon Fios wi-fi in my upstairs room and sometimes on same floor as the router (other side of house) Reception would come and go. reliability was often poor. Had an older linksys that had used but similar reception issues. Tried all the channels, moved antenna, no luck. Decided to get a wi-fi 6 device and see how that worked. Found this router at a very good price. Setup was quick and easy. You do need to use the app on your phone for the setup but I don't consider that to be an inconvenience. The features on the app provide a lot of info in addition to the setup. My wi-fi connectivity issues were solved soon as this unit was setup. Have reliable coverage all over the house with most locations getting speeds same as if laptop were plugged into a wired connection. Was well worth the purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice Router

This router was easy to set up and reaches all areas of our 2 story house. Much better than the router that we rented from Spectrum . We also get a strong signal in our attached garage. I recommend this router.

What I like: Easy setup, and there's no advertising to buy extra services. It does what is suppose to do and it does it very well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good performance and easy setup
Reviewed in the United States on July 25, 2021
I replaced my old Wi-Fi router with the Linksys MR7350 which is also called AX1800. Depending on location in the house, my speeds doubled compared to the old router. I read reviews for this router which led me to believe its performance was not the best.

I was very pleased with the speed and low price of the Linksys router. I was so impressed with the performance that I purchased 2 more to create a mesh network. My house is almost 100 years old and about 2400 square feet. One router would probably be sufficient but I wanted to extend the network to the outside patio.

I liked the simplicity of the setup. Using the phone app was easy to configure the first router and add the 2 others to create a mesh network. Help for each step was one click. I could explore various configurations and redo the setup if I did not like the result. I could runs speed and performance tests inside the app.

I did not need to buy the top performing Wi-Fi 6 routers when most of my wireless devices are Wi-Fi 5 and older. And the new Wi-Fi 6e routers just became available this year for $500+. I did not need the complexity and features of the expensive routers.

I can recommend this Linksys router for anyone who wants good performance and easy setup for a nice price. Plus adding one or more routers creates a mesh network to improve speeds in different areas.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Wi-Fi 6 for one bedroom apartment
Reviewed in the United States on March 3, 2022
I have been using the Linksys MR7350 Ax1800 for a few weeks now. It’s excellent budget Wi-Fi 6 With new features like 1024 QAM, that send more data with each transmission, and OFDMA, that manage simultaneous connections efficiently.

The top speeds is 1.2 gigabits per second on the 5GHz band and 574 Mbps on the 2.4GHz band. I don’t have internet that fast to test the top speeds but in a MacBook you can see the (Tx) transmission rate meaning your speed to the router, and it’s 960 Mbps on 5GHz all around my one bedroom apartment.

The band-steering option that lets the router automatically switch between the 5GHz and 2.4GHz bands for the optimal result can’t be switched off. Anecdotally this feature works fine most of the time but in two occasions it didn’t and it stayed on the less optimum bandwidth for a while before adjusting back. (I didn’t realize it because of drop in performance but because I was monitoring and testing the new setup)

The range is excellent for one bedroom apartment, but I don’t think it’s suitable for large multi level homes because it barely works at the end the hallway of my apartment building which is all wood construction. The iPhone app is intuitive and works reliably.

Overall it’s a great option (I bought mine on sale) and I would recommend it for one bedroom apartment with many devices. It works great in my situation with around 10 devices including Apple TV, MacBooks, NAS, handheld and HomeKit devices.

1.0 out of 5 stars Setup BS + Poor Performance = JUNK
Reviewed in the United States on March 25, 2024
As others have mentioned, setting up this router is annoying. Linksys now forces you to use their BS app. Great, another stupid app for my phone. Once initial setup is done, you can ditch the app and use a browser like the old days. Why force the app in the first place? Total BS.

Performance? Terrible. Even with clear line of sight, 20 feet away, connected with the AX standard, this router could not even match the speed of an older 802.11ac router. JUNK!
