It is a little smaller than the opening in this case, but I was able to use a bit of the packing foam, to make it fit (see pics.). The outside will take a paint pen, if you want to label it.
The clamshell style is sturdy enough to pack, without worrying about it getting crushed in a suitcase. Despite that, it is nice & lightweight. There is a zip pocket in the lid, for cables, wall plugs, etc.
With all of those nice features, it wasn’t even expensive. Highly recommended.
