5.0 out of 5 stars Simplify Device Connections with SABRENT HDMI Switch - Affordable, Compact, and User-Friendly!

The SABRENT 2 Input 1 Output HDMI Switch is an excellent product that has made it easy for me to switch between multiple devices connected to my Gaming monitor. The switch is compact, easy to use, and delivers excellent performance, with no loss of picture quality, I am still able to game on my laptop and Xbox at 120hz 1080p (my monitor is only 1080p but I am sure at 1440p you would still be able to get 120hz at a minimum if you have a gaming setup).

One of the best things about this HDMI switch is how easy it is to set up. I simply connected my Laptop and Xbox to the switch, plugged the switch into my monitor, and was up and running in minutes.

Overall, I would highly recommend the SABRENT 2 Input 1 Output HDMI Switch to anyone who is looking for a reliable, affordable solution for connecting multiple devices to their TV or Monitor whether they are 4k, 1080p and 120/144hz.

5.0 out of 5 stars Working great with my Macs so far
Reviewed in the United States on January 4, 2019
I've only been using this for about a week, but so far, it's been working great with my Macs. I was using a USB 2.0 four-computer switch for years, but now that my computers are all USB 3.0, I wanted to upgrade. I'd like to have a three-computer switch, but this is nice and compact, and the price of about $20 was in the sweet spot for me.

As others have noted, it comes with two USB 3.0 cables to connect your computers to it. Also, it is pretty lightweight, so it'll move around unless you secure it somehow. I just used a single piece of double sided tape to stick it down to my USB 3.0 hub (which is what this is connected to), and that seems to be working great.

I really (really) like that the lights on the front that indicate which computer is active are not bright. I can easily see which is active, but I don't need to put something over the top of the light to keep myself from being blinded.

Switching between computers is very easy with the push of a button.

Construction seems really good. I've purchased other Sabrent products. Some have been home runs, and some have been duds. This one seems like a good one.

Some reviewers have noted issues with their Windows machines, but I've only used Macs so far, so I can't speak to that.

All in all, this was a really nice update for me.

4.0 out of 5 stars Works well, with one minor annoyance
Reviewed in the United States on January 30, 2024
The product works as intended. Unlike a competing product, it works with both my Mac Studio and my M1 Pro laptop. Unlike that Viagkiki switch, this one appears to keep both outputs powered all the time, which is very convenient with a keyboard that takes a few seconds to boot.

Minus a star because the single-connection side has USB-A and micro-USB connectors, and the dual-connection side has of all things a USB-B connector, which previously I have only seen on printers. In 2024 why aren't both USB-C?

Someone else complained about the in/out being on different sides -- this seems to be for some reason standard for this type of product. I use a 90-degree cable on the upstream side which mostly mitigates this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works great for gaming keyboards
Reviewed in the United States on January 17, 2021
With the pandemic, working from home has been more and more common.

Being a gamer, I looked for a KVM switch that would allow me to switch back and forth between my work laptop and my gaming desktop. I initially went with an IOGear KVM and was extremely disappointed because it couldn't keep up with my WPM and there would be some lag with typing. In worse cases, a key would get frozen and would stay stuck entering a key and the only way to stop it was to physically disconnect the keyboard from the KVM switch then reconnect it. I'm using a Razer Blackwidow

After looking around and doing some research, I took the chance on the Sabrent USB 3.0 USB switch. It acts as a direct passthrough as opposed to running off of software firmware so by hitting the switch to go back and forth, it's like actually disconnecting the keyboard (or whatever device you have) and then reconnecting to the PC/laptop you want to use it on.

My keyboard latency issue has been resolved by using this USB switch and no more stuck keys/characters. I highly recommend this to anyone who was having similar issues or wants a good USB Switch.

This supports USB 3.0 but also works with USB 2.0 devices (my keyboard is USB 2.0). Also worth mentioning that it has a micro USB power port but not sure what that would be needed for as I'm not using it. The power is pulled from the USB ports connected the PC/Laptop. I'm assuming it might be for something that draws more power?

Hope the review was helpful and this device works for your needs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Compatible with Fanatec DD Pro and PC/PS4

I purchased this device to switch my Fanatec wheel between my PS4 and PC without having to unplug the USB each time. The device works as intended and I’ve experienced zero input delay.

Note for Logitech users:
The device did not work with my Logitech G923. It would connect to the PC just fine but the PS4 would not recognize the Logitech wheel.

5.0 out of 5 stars Compact, simple, and effective. Good Product.

I have an inexpensive second monitor at my desk that I wanted to use with both my desktop PC and my MacBook Pro, but it only has 1 HDMI port and constantly swapping the cable between the PC and MacBook is inconvenient and puts unnecessary wear on the ports. So I decided to give this device a try and it works perfectly, I can have both my PC and MacBook Pro plugged into it at the same time and just tap the button when I need to switch between them. There is no external power supply needed, the device puts out no heat, the aluminum casing stays cool to the touch. Its a great little device, at a reasonable price, from a respectable brand.

5.0 out of 5 stars DOES NOT DISCONNECT IF POWERED
Reviewed in the United States on June 22, 2024
There is a micro-usb port on the switch that needs to be supplied with power. They do not include this cable nor mention it in the instructions. I have used this to connect an rgb keyboard, mouse, webcam, and microphone between two computers for a month now with no issues in disconnecting whatsoever. I do not like they don't mention this or include one but it works without it so it's in a way optional, but if yours is disconnecting or you have many devices/high power devices then you need to supply it with power. Another note, after losing power it defaults to side "B" not "A" like you would expect.
