5.0 out of 5 stars Very nice monitor
Reviewed in the United States on December 1, 2021
My kids both play video games, and want the super fast OLED monitor, with all the bells and whistles. I don't even know what the bells and whistles are these days. I needed a decent monitor for a computer I recently got. I am not going to be playing much more than solitaire, it is mostly for work. So when I saw this one, I thought it was perfect. It has exactly what I need, a pretty big, crisp, clear monitor. Super easy to hook up, power plug and HDMI plug. Also has ports for a VGA line, speakers or headphones. It does have speakers, they are small, not wonderful sound, but OK. Again, for me, they are great.

Best thing was that I plugged my laptop into the monitor to try it out, and boom, came right up, everything just the way it was supposed to be. If you are really into gaming, or want great sound quality, or some super fast refresh rate, you will find a monitor that meet those needs. If you are like me, want a decent monitor, but will not be doing much, if any, gaming and just looking for a decent, reasonably priced monitor for work or home, this will work great for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Basic Monitor For Viewing With Old School DVD Players -With Separate Adapter Needed, Not Included
Reviewed in the United States on December 8, 2024
Review meant for other non tech persons... not for those who are up to date. ( We ARE out here... happily living with our old but good electronic equipment!)
So our old monitor died and we needed a basic, no frills viewing monitor to be able to hook up to our older DVD player and our older receiver's red, white and yellow (RCA) connections. We are not tech savvy whatsoever, and we just needed to purchase an additional (not included with the monitor) adapter that had the RCA to HDMI converter unit to have this monitor work. Be sure to get the kind with BOTH needed ends included. (search Viagkiki for the black connector we purchased with photo.)

The HDMI port of the needed adaptor gets connected to the back of the monitor - there are two ports, and no difference between them... it is just for people who want to connect more things than just a DVD player. Just pick one and plug it in. The other end gets connected to the free ends of the RCA plugs (see photo female to male ends)... then plug in the electric (you do need another adaptor end to plug the usb port into the two pronged outlet) and the other end gets plugged into the back of the monitor.

For set up - this monitor is quite easy.
Comes packed in a foam lined box, and all the parts are inside to set it up. (Besides the adaptors mentioned which are purchased separately with an Amazon search)
The neck of the stand gets attached to the base by a sideways then twist straight connection. Easy.
The neck top gets connected to the monitor by laying the monitor face down on carpet or rug and the provided small screws and screwdriver gets the job done in a few minutes. ( They also include some hardware to hang on a wall, but we didn't need that... as well as they include an extra HDMI cable that we didn't need for our purposes.)
Connect the (not included, a separate purchase) RCA to HDMI converter... remember to plug that in for a signal to the monitor... and you are ready to turn the monitor on and set the preferences.
The 'on' button is behind the lower right hand side, easily reached without needing to turn the thing around. No remote is included, but it is an easy on and off reach behind.

The screen will show some options ( as well as the directions) and the back buttons navigate through a few options... and it isn't that hard to figure out.
The DVD's play wonderfully... great crisp color... good sound ( ours were connected to surround sound) and the slim edges are nice for viewing.
A great purchase, overall with a Black Friday deal offer.

For those of us who are not tech savvy, nor want to be... this monitor is a great option without getting into all the confusing aspects of modern TV's and all of that.
A simple basic viewing monitor ...with the addition of two reasonably priced, separate purchases to get the right connections to modern electronic ports are all you need.
Hope this helps ~

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect monitor for everyday computer stuff
Reviewed in the United States on November 20, 2024
Used these for my last WFH job and they worked so well for that kind of application that I ended up with a sceptre multi-monitor setup. I played some easy going games on them as well, and they worked fine for the specs they had. For the features that these monitors pack, the price is outstanding.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very nice monitors for the money
Reviewed in the United States on August 28, 2024
I purchased two of these for a dual monitor setup at work. They are pretty inexpensive compared to other monitor options and they look great. Very easy to put together, clear picture, and modern looking. I am sure there are reasons why other monitors may be more expensive, but to the naked eye working mostly with spreadsheets they do the job just fine.
