    After two beloved pets passed away a week apart from each other, I found myself wishing I had an easier way of printing pictures from my phone. Uploading/downloading from various cloud based applications was becoming tedious, not to mention having to send them somewhere to be printed. I decided to look here on Amazon for a photo printer.

    I knew I didn’t want the super small 3x2 size. I looked into various brands and happened upon this Liene printer. After reading the many positive reviews, I was willing to give it a try. After some use, I’m adding my own review to the mix. It is a fantastic little printer!!
    1) The price point is more than reasonable when compared with other brands. After the initial purchase, and considering the price of the paper/cartridge refills, at roughly $.48 a picture, it is also much more cost effective than having them printed at a retailer (in my experience).
    2) It’s oh so easy to set up and get going! I was able to connect to my iPhone in just a few steps. It is Wi-Fi based, not Bluetooth, just fyi.
    3) The print quality is really good! I was so impressed that such a nice looking picture came out of a small, portable printer.
    4) Small footprint. The printer takes up very little space on my desk. The paper cartridge can be removed from the front of the printer and stored on top of it. It has magnets, so it doesn’t slide around on top.

    The Liene printer has been an absolute pleasure to have and use. The convenience of printing right from my phone, along with the quality of the pictures it produces, have me 100% a satisfied customer.

    Product came in separate deliveries. Paper and ink arrived first printer came last. Setup took about 10 minutes and was fairly easy. Installed app on Android phone and first picture printed within about 5 minutes. Pictures can be edited in app before printed. Quality is good and pictures are clear and colorful. Overall a great buy!

    I purchased this to use for a “photo guest book” at a large (150 guest) birthday party! Everyone was so impressed with the quality of the photos, ease of use and how quickly it printed the photos! Some guests even looked at the product packaging so they could order one for themselves! Hint: I set up two iPhones to use. While one was printing pictures I used the the phone for taking more guest photos. It worked great!!

    Fairly easy to set up, though I initially had the paper cassette installed upside down. The app to connect with the printer makes it easy to adjust the crop and see what the final image will look like, but otherwise has very limited editing capabilities, not much beyond brightness, contrast and shadows (which actually seems to be highlight protection), so best to do any editing before you print. It's possible to print staight from your phone or from a computer.

    Print quality is very nice, and speed is reasonably good, but the size of the finished prints is disappointing. The photos are not quite a full 4x6 inches. More like 3 and 15/16 by 5 and 13/16. The difference may not seem like that big a deal but it's pretty noticeable next to a full 4x6 print.

    The only potential drawback of this printer is the reliance on paper specific to this brand. I don't see any way it could be used with standard 4x6 photo paper. Replacement dye cartridges too would presumably need to be acquired from the manufacturer. The printer comes with one dye cartridge and 20 sheets of paper. I'd recommend buying the bundle of 100 sheets and three cartridges (80 additional sheets of photo paper and two more dye cartridges come in that bundle).

    The photo paper has two perforated tabs at the shorter edges of the sheet (top and bottom of a vertical photo). Once those are removed after printing, the photos are borderless. Really nice results for the price range. I just wish they were true to size. Would rate 5 stars if the photos really were 4x6.
