5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Mini PC
Reviewed in the United States on November 4, 2024
Great responsive Mini PC. After receiving, upgraded memory to 16 GB, and added an SSD to the available bay. Found this very easy to do, as the design of this unit allowed easy access, so the upgrade proceeded very easily and quickly. Followed some guidelines that I found on YouTube, to install Linux on the Secondary Drive, in a way that allows me to boot Windows or Linux, without them having a connected common boot loader, truly keeping the two systems separate. Thus, if there is a corruption with one system, the other is separate and unaffected. PC starts up quickly and is very responsive on both Windows and Linux. Very happy with this purchase, as it had a great affordable price and performs better than my initial expectations. Very happy with purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely worth it. I use it for Plex and SMB storage server
Reviewed in the United States on September 19, 2024
This was not a planned purchase for me, but I am so glad that I bought the Mini PC.
I have been running a Plex Media Server and Blue Iris Security Camera software on a Ryzen 3700 with a robust graphics card. Since it needs to run 24/7, I wanted to buy something that'll reduce my electric bill.

This checked all my boxes. It was nicely packaged and safe on arrival. First thing I did was open it to see the internals. It has 8GB RAM and a 256GB M.2 stick. I wasn't sure about the installed Windows on it already, so I initiated a new Windows install. I deleted all the existing partitions on the M.2 drive, formatted and re-installed Windows as a fresh install. After booting up, the Windows 11 Pro key was detected and activated.

I then went on to install Plex Media Server. I mostly use it for watching Live OTA TV channels and recording live TV on my NAS. I was a little apprehensive whether it'll do well for watching TV on Roku through Plex installed on this Mini PC, but surprisingly it works very well. The CPU settles to around 40 to 50% when I'm watching on Plex. Max temp I saw was around 70C. And the best of all, it never goes above 20W of power, and mostly is around 10W, even when actively using Plex.

My next step was to install a Hard Drive on which I'll save my security camera feeds. This allows 1 additional SATA 2.5" drive. I also was able to plug in a couple of USB drives. I'm using it with my two 27" monitors with the 2 built in HDMI outputs.

Overall, this has been a great purchase for a low cost, low power PC. Oh, and I forgot to mention, It's very snappy as a daily driver working on Office Apps and browsing. Very happy with the purchase, and I'm now able to save around $200 a year vs my previous PC, which more than covers the cost of this purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars Decent for a retirement home
Reviewed in the United States on September 21, 2024
I like to keep my reviews short and simple regarding tech stuff... So here it goes:

Overall, the Mini-PC is suitable for small things, like occasional home use or streaming videos. Other things, like gaming and heavy processing duties, are a fat NO. It comes with all the cables you need to connect to a monitor or TV, but it still is okay for the price.

The CPU speed was 2.89, and the Memory was awful. 8GB in 2024 is good, but I suggest a better processor. Considering that the system already uses 4GB... It makes me wonder how much the PC can handle. If you push the PC to do too much, it will lag very, VERY, VERY hard.

If you want quality, look for an older but used Mini-PC from a reputable Brand like Dell or Lenovo.

4.0 out of 5 stars Device stopped working after only a few weeks
Reviewed in the United States on June 19, 2023
Edit: The seller reached out to me to help resolve the issue with first mini PC that I reviewed. This section is to review the new unit and the experience I had with the seller. I hooked up the new unit and luckily it was new considering it had a seal on it and the packaging looked better than the first unit that arrived. The unit came with Windows 11 Pro. I ran multiple tests on the Mini PC such as virus scans, checking if the Windows version is authentic running multiple commands. I also tried the mini PC on multiple monitors as well with no issues. My initial comments on the device being ssd instead of M.2 is still relevant. This device isn't M.2 as the information page. The page used to say that the device provided an M.2 expansion slot, but I see this has been corrected. This shows that the seller paid attention to the reviews and that's something that can be appreciated. The device does provide an SSD expansion slow (one that is used in most laptops).

The only reason I removed a star from this device is the way the seller contacted me and the request about spending my own money to send the item back, when I'm just the individual reviewing their item to make sure it safe for people to purchase. The individual who reached out to me was kind and friendly, I would like to have this recognized as a positive aspect of the interaction. The main concern is the way they contacted me through email, which is something I believe that Amazon states "to not provide the seller with any personal information, such as email addresses." I believe the interaction should have occurred through Amazon for my security. Also, asking for me to pay for shipping as well to send the faulty item back. I'm glad though that the seller did update the product page in regard to the storage type and they were friendly and responsive. Thank you for a great item and helping me resolve my complaints with this product.

So, I wanted something for my brother because he hasn't owned a computer in about 15 years, but first, I wanted to make sure it was something that he would enjoy and actually use. I tested this device out and I was amazed at how quick it is. For a basic computer, it's good. He is an individual who enjoys watching Facebook and looking for car parts, so this would work perfect for him.

I wanted to state thought, that I may be overlooking the port and someone can reach out and correct me, but I don't see device having a port for a "M.2 2280 SSD". After opening the device, because I have a bachelor's degree in computer science, the spot that is available for expandable storage is a hdd. I don't know if the seller meant to provide misinformation, but this device isn't what was described, and this is important considering the speed difference between a hdd and an M.2 SSD. Please get back to me and message me if the seller has any updates on this situation.
