    Received a new work laptop recently and needed a docking station as one was not provided. After reviewing a plethora of options, I decided on this model from Baseus as I had previously used thier wall chargers before without issue. The USB-C docking station works like a charm and easily allows me to connect to a 4K monitor and network printer. the video is 4K at 60hz, and there are no dropouts or other issues. Basically it does exactly what it's supposed to do, and all at a reasonable price vs a Dell branded docking station. Highly recommended.

    Fails do to pd to my rog ally and when I have keyboard mouse monitor plugged in it would just keep cycling through everything power pd fails to delivery on my power bank shows 50w then 5w then it resets not sure if I just got a bad unit but send like a quality issue.

    There is no issues if you use a power brick but not sure if it's a pd issue or quality issue.

    Update:
    After customer service wants to prove me wrong they decided to send me a unit for me to test looks like i had a bad sample unit on my first purchase but customer service is excellent and stood by their product.
    After hevey testing with the orignal ssd using a 10gbps adapter and a 165hz screen and my anker 737 power bank it's a great on the go dock for when you need to whip out a decent spec handheld into a monitor while being powered by a battery bank.

    My original one burned out on power delivery and network due to extensive plugging. This one is work even better than old one and only downfall so far is seems power delivery is lower than expected but that could be because of ASUSs proprietary setup

    Tried several similar items from other companies - even the much more expensive models… keep coming back to this one. Works flawlessly across the whole zoo of my machines - from cheapo web browsing desktop to MS Surface Laptops, to Lenovo, to MacBooks. Video, Ethernet, PD, external drives, you name it.

    And, normally, for a given set of ports, this one is the cheapest one by far!

    Bought this multi adaptor a week ago for my new 2023 iMac M3, to use for the ethernet connection and the old tech USB A connectors. So far it works well transferring photos from micro cards to my hard drive - fast enough.

    The ethernet works well most of the time - blazing speeds at 250 MBPS (I pay my service provider for up to 300 mbps ). For some reason, every few days, the ethernet connection just stops. This is remedied by unplugging the device's USB C connection from the iMac and reinserting. It works fine for a few days and stops suddenly again. There's no "on/off" reboot switch, so one must disconnect from Mac and reconnect.

    It's a great price for the 6 & 1 multi adaptor, but I may return it if the suddenly ethernet disconnection continues. I'll try to reach the seller for questions about this

    update Feb 26: The seller wrote me with instructions for addressing the issue. I folooeed and it worked well for a while and then would hose up again . I will return the device. Bought an Anker brand multi adaptor which works great and has just as fast ethernet speed.

    Great purchase. Yeah I know hub/dock-monitor extension tech has been out for a while but this unit: Basus Metal Gleam II is a winner. Read this next statement slowly... make sure you have the latest cables and adapters. If you don't, none of these hubs will function or operate properly. I know from experience. Not all older HDMI or DP cables are always up-to-date. I threw away 2 today, that work fine, but on an older hub/dock/mini dock. Previously I used a great J5 Creat mini dock hub that I picked out and my work paid for. Fast forward 2 years and I picked up this Basus, made much better than the J5s in this price range - in my opinion. Great packaging. All-around satisfied customer. Will buy from seller again. Highly recommend. This is NOT a paid endorsement nor was I ever approached by the seller/company. FYI I am a long time techie and don't believe in being scammed ny these expensive docking stations for hundreds of dollars when companies like Basus do the job as good or better and best!
