    We recently went through my moms house after she passed away. We found SO MANY slides and photos that we want to turn into digital photos. My brother mentioned that there was a scanner that made this possible and I went to Amazon and found this one!! This scanner is extremely user-friendly (which I needed) and offers an amazing high-quality digital conversion. You can store a large amount of photos on this scanner because it does have quite a bit of built in memory. The instruction manual that came along with this product was very easy to follow, which made setting this up even easier! It does take a hot minute to scan all the slides I have, but for the price, it scans them at a pretty good rate. It has a nice size LCD Screen and you can also edit any photos you want right from the screen. This is a great scanner and I can highly recommend it.

    There are a nice range of features to scan film. The screen is bright enough to get a decent photo using the cell phone. I had to use my phone to get a digital copy because the internal storage on the scanner is formatted for Apple. My Windows laptop won't recognize that storage. This should have been formatted in Xfat so that either machines can use it. As a result, I now need to find an Apple laptop and attempt to reformat it. I'm reluctant because I'm afraid to erase the installed software.

    Also, some refer to an external port for a memory card. There isn't one. There is only the HDMI mini port and a USB-C power port. I'll be returning this item due to it being not as advertised.

    Originally I wrote: Nice packaging but TERRIBLE instructions. It took dozens of attempts to get the first slide copied. Then I had to convert the colors with software! Daylight photo colors were realistic, but photos taken with a flash were washed out, missing detail and "blasted" in some areas. The slides themselves, when viewed with a projector, are all properly exposed and the colors are accurate. "
    However, Anna, in Customer Service, sent me a replacement and this time everything worked as it should. Yesterday I copied 80 slides in just 1.5 hours, and that includes moving all of them to a folder on my computer. Slides with a good exposure copy best and need no touch-up, so keep in mind it is your photographic skills that count and poor copies result from under or over exposure in the original slides. Kodachrome copies best; Anscochrome not as well. The instructions still need a rewrite, hence the rating of 4. There are just 4 needed steps to copy a slide: 1. Open slide carrier and place slide in position. 2. Close lid on carrier and insert carrier into the device. 3. Press the big button with the camera icon. 4. Press the "OK" button. Just like that the slide is copied to the storage on the device. Remove carrier and repeat process. It is that easy. Good luck.

    I used this great little device to scan in hundreds of old slides and film negatives, and it worked wonderfully! Well worth the price, and I appreciate the compact size. The pictures scanned in very well, and it was very easy to connect to my computer.

    I purchased this scanner for use at a community media center. It was affordable and advertised high Megapixel images. However, the scanner does a poor job capturing highlights. There's no manual control of the images to adjust the exposure. Attached are photo samples. The good looking image is the original. The scanned image is the one where the man's face is blown out (loss of detail in the skin texture).
