I should say from the beginning that this isn't a substitute for a professional film scanner. Phone cameras are good, but they are not an equal to a professional scanner that is specifically built for digitizing negatives and slides. Now, with that out of the way, this is a good camera scanner. Like others, it folds up for easy storage. It runs on 2 AA batteries that are included. The light source is even, though slightly on the blue side. What this has that many others in this price range doen't is a bracket to hold your phone in place. This makes a difference if you are scanning a lot of negatives or slides. The kit also comes with a cleaning cloth.

Has a back light to allow reading of film.
Works well with my iPhone 13.
It would be easy to film several strips, and then put it away.
