Exceeds my expectations for a compact & mighty small desktop. Despite its small size, the performance is impressive for everyday tasks like browsing, document editing, and media streaming, office and home needs. Budget friendly and great value for the price, making it ideal for those who don’t need a high-end gaming or professional machine. The 16gb ram and 512gb SSD is best choice when it comes to the pc needs, perfect for extra storage and faster processor speed. I love about the pc is, it provides all the ports from USB to type C to HDMI. The design is sleek and modern, blending seamlessly into any environment. Setup is straightforward, even for beginners. I’s perfect for users looking for a budget-friendly, smart and space-saving option.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Thing in Little Package

Had this KAMRUI E1 Mini PC Alder Lake N97 about a month or so and its been a Great Little PC for office apps, online browsing and streaming media.

    What I like:
    1. Comes with Windows 11 Home
    2. No adware to remove, no free trials to remove, no antivirus about to expire, no bloatware, no spyware - just a nice clean desktop
    3. Very small without the spare drive enclosure attached, only 128mm square by 37mm thick (25mm = 1 inch)
    4. Copies files from USB port to SDD incredibly fast compared to my other PCs
    5. Nice Video and Audio via HDMI port - it has 2 of them
    6. Has Wired and Wireless Internet

    More Info and Opinion:

No Authentic MS Windows Sticker with the 20-Digit Windows 11 Product Key on this PC. No enclosed paper or email with the 20-Digit Windows 11 Product Key. Only the Windows 11 license is attached to your Microsoft Account during the setup process. Let me elaborate with my experience.

It has a sticker over the ethernet port says don't go online during Windows setup because it will take a long time. I think this is odd. Don't you want to update???? But I didn't remove the sticker or plug in the network cable. But you know what? The PC wanted to connect to my WiFi during setup so I let it connect. Sure enough it downloaded a major Windows 11 update to a new edition and told me just go do something else while it installs because this is gonna take a while. Nice, just what the little sticker warned me about. I think it downloaded a whole new copy of Windows 11 from Microsoft. Which leads me to this: If you are connected by cable or wifi you will have to use your Microsoft account during setup because there is no other option. I tried. Maybe if you are not connected you can get a local setup only option to avoid using a MS account. But is that better? I don't know, but keep this in mind: If you ever have to reinstall Windows 11 on a new SSD from scratch you will want it connected to your MS account now, otherwise you have no product key. Microsoft links the key to your account during setup. Somehow it gets it from the PC automatically. That's my understanding from MS website.

Unlike a lot of major brands like HP, etc. this was a great setup experience. This is not a Windows S version. You only need to update windows to the latest during setup. No adware to remove. No trial software to remove. No updates installing the wrong drivers. Just Windows Defender Antivirus running automatically. My first PC using Windows 11 btw. Its pretty good, so far all my previous apps work.

I like the small size of this PC and it's lighting effect is nice but if you don't want any light at all you may not like it. The case has a stripe all the way around it that lights blue when its on and turns red when its in sleep mode. The extra drive enclosure lets you add a 2.5 inch SATA HDD or SATA SSD and the enclosure data connection to the PC is via an internal USB plug. I don't know if that is better than a direct SATA but the USB copy speed on this PC is very fast. With the size and price and speed of USB sticks now, I will probably never use the extra drive bay enclosure.

The way the HDMI and USB Ports and Power Button and Power Cord Port are arranged around the case, in my opinion, is not good for mounting on its included Vesa Bracket to the back of a monitor. When mounted, the Power Button would be on the left side. Think about reaching around behind the monitor to the left side to turn your PC on and off. Think about trying to put USB sticks in and out back there. Not very feasible. For that, you would want the power switch on the right or top, the USB ports on the Top and the HDMI and Power ports on the bottom and/or left. To its credit, this PC powers down into sleep mode (red effect lighting) and comes back out even after sitting into the next day so you don't actually have to ever shut it off I guess.

I only used the HDMI for audio to a monitor with built-in speakers and also a TV with speakers. Real good sound volume and streaming works great. No issues streaming with the wireless internet connection for hours at a time.

I have not heard a fan in the month or so I've had it so I don't know if it has one. Doesn't seem to get too hot.

I have an older mini PC from this mfr and it has been working good for a few years now so I am thinking this one will also last a few years.

I gave 5 stars because its been a pretty nice Windows 11 PC experience so far even though it should have better design of ports and switch for easy access behind the monitor.

I recently purchased the KAMRUI AK1PLUS Mini PC and I love it. I’m using it as a home media server, but, it would make an excellent little office PC as well since the system is using Intel’s new N97 CPU.

The specs on this mini PC are impressive considering the cost. The PC comes with one of the newest Alder Lake-N series CPU with 4 cores, 6 MB Intel Smart Cache, and clock boosts up to 3.6 GHz with built in UHD graphics. I’ve seen similarly spec’d mini PCs using the N100 or N95 CPUs, which are 10% to 15% slower than the N97. I would definitely go with the N97 over those other CPU’s if you have the option. The system includes 16GB DDR4 ram, a 512GB M.2 SSD, and has an option to add one 2.5” internal SSD. I/O for the system includes 2 x HDMI ports that can run a dual display setup, 1 x 1Gbit RJ45 LAN, 2 x USB 2.0 ports, 2 x USB 3.0 ports, and one audio-in/out jack; it also has built in WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. One thing I really like about the I/O placement on this little box is how all the connections are in the rear or side of the case; this makes the system look really clean in an entertainment system setup because you don’t have a bunch of wires coming out the front for any peripherals. The case measurements for this mini-PC are 5” x 5” and it is approximately 2” tall. If you don’t need the extra storage from the optional internal SSD, that section of the case can be removed and then in is only 1.25” tall. When the system is on it has a ring of blue led lights that are subtle and not too bright, then, when the machine goes into standby the lights turn red. I really like the touch of lighting.

The build quality of this machine is very solid. You can open the optional SSD bay with only 2 screws and effortlessly upgrade the storage if desired. The whole thing weights just a tad less than a pound and you could easily mount it to the back of a monitor with the included Vesa bracket. I could barely hear any fan noise coming from the PC even when running benchmarks that stressed out the CPU. The power draw for this unit was 9W at idle and 18W when running the Cinebench R23 multi-core CPU benchmark.

The performance of this mini-PC was great for everything I threw at it including office applications, photo editing and 4K video playback. I even played around with streaming Steam games to it from my gaming machine and it ran smooth without issues; it would make a good replacement for a Steam Link box since Valve doesn’t sell them anymore. Just for reference, I got 1858 on the CPU in Cinebench R23 multi-core benchmark and 704 for single-core benchmark. The WiFi 6 worked great too; through my ASUS RT-AX88U Pro router and a 1GB fiber connection, I was seeing transfer speeds around 900 Mbps in the same room and around 575 Mbps two rooms over about 25 ft away. I ran a benchmark on the NVMe SSD and got a respectable 1630 MB/s reads and 1478 MB/s writes.

Overall, the features and performance of AK1PLUS mini-PC are extremely impressive considering its size and cost. If you’re in the market for a snappy little Windows 11 Pro mini-PC that works well and doesn’t break the bank, you really can’t go wrong with this system and I can whole heartedly recommend this one.

This little mini pc is awesome. It has great graphics and really fast. It has really good storage and even has a spot on the back for an external hard drive that hooks up on the back. It has a little bracket to mount this unit on the back of a monitor so it doesn't take up Desk space. I would buy this again. It is a handy sound computer to have attached to you tv or an extra monitor. It has the updated windows 11 and has everything you need even if you like to game.

The computer works fine. When I first got it, something was messed up with the internal wifi and bluetooth card causing it to crash when the driver was loaded. I should have returned it, but I didn't. I did a clean install of Windows 11 and used a usb wifi dongle that I had siting around and have had no issues with it. One issue I had was not being able to download drivers from the manufactures site. Not a big deal, but still a PITA when you are trying to determine if it is a hardware or driver issue. Overall, the computer works well for a low cost, low spec device.
