5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful product and it really works!

I'm very pleased with how well this little guy has performed!Living in a a more 'rural' part of Texas outside of Houston- my internet providers was very limited. I chose to go with a local company at only 5 MBP/S (basically the highest speed I could find). Since my move- I've seen much lower (as you can imagine) speeds than what I previously had. And for the way the house was wired before we got there- the router has to stay upstairs. The WiFi Range Extender was placed downstairs in our living room.Installation was very simple. Took ~10-15 minutes. Instructions were percise and clear, and I was up in no time. I then took my Ethernet cable and ran it to my PS4 and I've seen a noticible difference with connection and speed. At any one time we have the PS4, TV, 2 phones and two tablets connected to the router. Now I'm moving all the devices over to the extender and can go much further with our connections.Pro: Easy to set up, cheap , conveniently plugs into outlet, small / doesn't take up a lot of space, so far reliable!

I've been using the product for a month and a half now and am pleased with it. I live in a two story home that was built in 1927, so has plaster walls. Now these plaster walls have an wire mesh layer embedded in them and that *really* messes with my wifi signals when I'm in my second-floor office attempting to connect with my Airport Extreme base station downstairs. When I created my upstairs office, I was relying on a direct wifi connection to the Airport Extreme. That would yield signal strength in the -80dBm range, which is pretty bad. The result was slow internet and frequent dropped Skype calls. The next solution was an ethernet over power line device. That worked well, but tapped out at about 25Mbps, which works, but comes no where near the 120Mbps that comes to my house through Comcast. The setup of this product was easy, just plug it in and search for the associated device on your computer. Connect to it and it walks you through connecting to your existing wifi SSID. The instruction booklet is simple and clear. Once the device rebooted, I moved it on the far side of my office, closest to the Airport Extreme in the room below and adjacent to my office. The result is that I now have a -45dBm connection on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz and see approximately 60-70Mbps through the 5GHz connection. So... I doubled my connection rate from the old power line ethernet devices at about the same cost. Not bad!

Our computer is in the front office and I was having trouble picking up wifi on the back patio. I didn't know there was such a device, but this range extender works wonderfully. It was easy to set up, particularly if you follow the reviewer who said to set it up using a phone or tablet, rather than your desktop. I didn't try it with my desktop, but set-up was not difficult. There are few instructions. However, once you have it set up, you will not need to do it again, even if you unplug it from one spot to move to another. This product really has no negatives. The price is amazing for the service it provides, making wifi available where it used to be spotty. Highly recommended.

Ordered this item because of the price and some reviews. I have a smart tv on the 3rd floor and my router is in the basement. While other devices receive a signal just fine, this particular tv has some reception issues and this has helped tremendously. Some reviewers stated issues with setup but I found setup to be pretty easy. I used its setup website because I always have issues when connecting ANY device using my routers' WPS. It took all of 5 minutes to setup. Another thing I think some people aren't doing is starting off in the same room as their router. This is a MUST. The extender should be plugged in to an outlet as close to the router as possible during the setup process. Once this is done, you can move the extender to a new location. I moved mine to a location on the main level of the house and my 3rd floor smart tv went from receiving just 1 bar of wireless connection to 4. Wonderful product and we'll see how it holds up over time.

I needed something to boost my network as my fire stick was lagging when trying to watch movies. The TV is located about 20 feet from my router, so I placed the booster in the kitchen which is located in between the router and the TV. As soon as I go it hooked up, my signal went from fair to very strong.Just to let you know, this is not a (take out of the box and go) booster. You will need to hook this up to your wifi router, but its not that hard if you have some knowledge how to set them up. (directions are ok) Once you get it hooked up, you will have an extra two networks that you can hook you devices up to, so all in all you will have four networks instead of two. After using this for about three weeks, I have not experienced any lagging of my movies, and/or TV shows, so I highly recommend!

We live in a 2 story single family home where the router is downstairs near an office. There is a second room/office upstairs almost directly above the router. However, the signal upstairs was spotty. Sometimes the network couldn't be found, sometimes it was slow, etc. Unpacking the product was a breeze and I followed the instructions to plug it in near my downstairs router. The web user interface was simple. Then, I moved the product upstairs in an open area . After plugging it in, the product comes up after 2 minutes . My wife connected her laptop to my extended network and she hasn't complained about slow network speeds or drop outs ever since. So simple setup and a small form factor.

This wifi extender really saved me. I could not get wifi signal in my bedroom so I was on data while on my phone in bed. My data use was skyrocketing and I was going over my data limit. This device is actually saving me money because now I can actually use the wifi in my house and not be on my phone's data plan. Very easy to install but the trick is that you actually have to read the directions. Highly recommend for anybody that needs a strong wifi signal. Wifi is life!
