For two years struggling with lags on WiFi and having my ISP come out many times and going thru many routers I believe I hit jackpot...first day I got the router I sent an email to tech support and they called me right away and i shared them access via app...needless to say the techs made the process easy and lag is gone...best customer service

I had a 2 unit popular mesh system that wasn't getting the speeds I should have been getting. Signal deteriorated fast even with the 2 units covering the house. Consistent but slow. This single unit router doubled and in some cases tripled the speed I was getting with the mesh system with just the one unit. At less than half the price of my previous system. I'm shocked at the improvement. 2400 sq foot house and this delivers fast and consistent speed everywhere. There is of course a minimal drop off in speed at the far reaches of the house but even there it's more than double my previous systems speed. If this router lasts a reasonable amount of time it will be one of the best purchases I've ever made. If it doesn't I assure you I will be back here to let you know. This was not given to me for review. It is an honest review and I paid for it out of my own pocket.

Inconsistent Connection Speeds.

I was really excited to upgrade my default router from spectrum to something with a little more range/power. My internet is 1gb/s & mostly everything important in my house is ran through Ethernet cables anyways. I just wanted a stronger signal for my PS Portal due to this barebones router not going through walls all too well.

When I connected my new Reyee router it was super simple & easy to do. But when I tried playing a game online my internet would be super spotty, one second it was fine & the other was like I wasn’t even connected. I am connected through Ethernet & that should not be an issue whatsoever.

Upon doing a WiFi speed test the router was sending out 30mb/s compared to 600-800mb/s I was previously getting on my standard router. So I have no idea why the internet kept dropping in & out or being able to output the same as my old bare bones router.

Plugged my old router back in & everything works like it used to so that eliminates any motem/internet service problems. 10/10 would not recommend.

I took a chance on the Reyee AX6000 after doing a lot of research on the company, which apparently has been in the commercial side for a while but is a more recent entrant into the consumer side. I needed to replace my Linksys MR9600 (AX6000) which had been rock solid but had started to drop connection several times a week.

The Reyee comes with a cat5e ethernet cable I think, so anyone wanting to take full advantage of the 2.5G WAN port might want to get a cat6 cable. The setup instructions are pretty basic but got me online in a few minutes. I had to download a full manual and look up videos on youtube to learn how to fully setup the router. I used my laptop to access the ip address instead of using the app. The interface itself gives you a lot of control, although I chose to simplify things since I had heard the fewer things you ask the router to do, the better the chance to run smoothly. I kept my SSIDs split and used the same names as before. Powercycling my devices afterwards helped performance, especially my laptop, which at first had erratic download speeds on wifi. However, my wifi garage door opener hasn't recovered yet.

My gamer son reports that this router is faster and more stable (he does Nintendo with ethernet). I can tell that the speeds are generally faster than with the Linksys and have a greater range throughout my 2500 sq. ft ranch-style house. Buried deep in the settings is the option to adjust the power of the wifi signal. Using my laptop app I was able to see that the Reyee signal was stronger by itself than that of the Linksys (which I had extended with a MESH unit).

I'm pretty impressed so far, and hope it remains stable over the long haul. My biggest complaint so far is the light documentation it came with, but there are enough youtube videos and online manuals to help you configure the router if you need to really tweak it. Also, the videos might still have the 20% off coupon so look one up before you purchase.
