I recently purchased this magnetic privacy screen for my laptop, and I’m extremely impressed with its performance! The screen effectively narrows the viewing angle, ensuring that only I can see the contents of my screen, providing added privacy when working in public spaces. The magnetic attachment is secure and easy to install, and it doesn’t interfere with the laptop’s closing mechanism. The screen also offers anti-glare and UV protection, which is a great bonus. The quality of the materials is excellent, and the screen is thin enough that it doesn’t add bulk to my laptop.

Works great! Tried to show it at different angles but unless someone is right by you, or directly behind you, they won’t be able to see your screen. Works “better” if brightness is lower but I honestly keep my brightness pretty high and the people who sit next to me always ask why I’m staring at a blank black screen so I’d say it works well regardless ;)

I generally keep it on but I absolutely love the fact that it’s magnetic! When I need to do group work and show my screen to others, I can easily just take it off (it comes with a storage sleeve as well that I keep in my bag). I have my regular screen protector under this as well.

Because it’s magnetic only at the top it will start to have some overhand if your screen is at an acute angle. It comes with adhesives if you want to avoid this, but since I like the versatility of taking it off, I never used the adhesives.

Overall, I like it very much. It cuts glare on its matte side. And it provides more privacy on the glossy side.

There is a single magnetic strip on one side. I assume that is to save from being overly thick. As noted on the packaging, the laptop mostly closes. It closes enough to sleep and turn off the monitor.

The bottom tends to flare out a touch. It does come with double-sided tape, but I prefer to not use anything sticky on my monitor. I have used similar privacy screens before. And it will adapt to being stuck on the screen and lift less over time. I also wipe the screen as clean as possible (both screen and monitor) and the put them on. And wipe it smooth to get the film to stick better. I think it’s just the energy between the monitor and screen that slightly magnetizes or static clings.

I don’t use the tape. I take my privacy screen off to share the monitor to a group. I use it to reduce glare in a bright space. And I use it for privacy in public spaces. So, I like that it’s removable. And I like the plastic file holder that fits the screen when not in use! Nice detail! I have always found it tricky to store it when not using.

Feedback:

It might be worthwhile to add a slightly weighted corner structure to the bottoms of the protector to help keep the screen flat against the monitor. Users would like prefer the freedom to remove and replace as needed. And double-sided tape attracts dirt, and makes the screen icky.

Also: New monitor settings allow us to see a warmer tone color palette in the evenings, but this one is just neutral. Perhaps a choice of warm, neutral or cool tone screens would be nice. As long as they all do the anti-glare, and privacy jobs!

Absolutely love this product. Application was super simple. I was concerned that it wouldn't stick only because it is supported by 2 small adhesive strips at the bottom and by a magnet bar at the top, but so far I have had no issues! Behind the protector does get a little bit dusty but it's easy to remove and put back on after cleaning. The only downside, it makes the brightest screen setting a little bit darker so if you're working in a dim lit area it makes it a little hard to see, this feels normal due to the privacy nature of this product. Other than that I have no complaints! 10/10 would recommend!

I work in the mental health industry as a counselor, so having privacy, even from my kids at home on the couch is important. This has helped a lot with privacy, and has alleviated a lot of the anxiety I have around people being able to see my screen. I forget I have it, so it doesn’t impede my view of the computer at all, which doesn’t always go over well with my wife when I ask her opinion on something and she can’t see sitting right next to me. The installation was easy, and it had options for removability if you don’t want it on all the time. Fits well and is highly compatible with the Mac.

I went back and forth on keeping this but ended up deciding to keep it. Pro is that it's privacy screen effect works well. I would say glares are worse and even if I have the brightness up all the way it's hard to see my computer screen. I also have to have blue light glasses on to look at my screen or else my eyes hurt with this on.

It was also extremely easy to install, it magnetizes to the top of your screen, however this creates the biggest problem in my opinion in that the bottom doesn't attach well and I have to constantly press it back down to my screen. Overall would not repurchase.

I was concerned about the reviews noting the lid wouldn’t close but found it to be untrue for my MacBook. The lid closes all the way and the film doesn’t fly up or separate from the screen. For me either static or it being naturally straight keeps it flush against my screen.

Fits perfectly on my screen without worrying about using an adhesive which I am horrible about lining up straight. Protects my screen from damage while removing glare or if you want giving privacy.

This is worth the higher price than a sticker screen protector and super happy with my purchase.
