I purchased this router a little over a year ago. It took about 15 minutes to set up. This router covers my entire house no problem. I have NEVER restarted this router. If you're in the market for a new router, and this one covers your basic requirements, go for it. You will definitely be satisfied with your purchase.

Got this router to support 1gig fiber internet. This thing totally does the trick. No lagging on devices anymore. Easy to install. Love the app and that it comes with 1-year security/protection. Well worth the price.

Ordinary family use with 8-10 devices connected at all times. This thing is simply needed in today’s world.

I bought this to replace an older Netflix router that was past its prime. It had served me well but was starting to drop out occasionally. I use a USB network backup drive so needed a USB port. Those seem to be pretty rare on most new routers. Installation was simple and my previous problems have been resolved. Internet speed has also increased, probably due to the new router capabilities.

A word of advice. i knew I could change the factory default SSID and password to my old one, but thought "how hard is it to change a couple passwords?" Well, I soon realized that it goes well beyond that. Besides device you never thought about like refrigerators etc. my alarm, cameras, smart plug s and lights all needed to be reinstalled just like the day I bought them. So, take 2 minutes to change to the same SSID and password to save 2 days of frustration.

I hooked up the router - the WiFi, which is why I wanted it was mediocre at best. i live in a 1000 ft Sq apartment. WiFi was spotty at best. There are many user options for unit - and support requires payment for Tech Specialist - which I paid for. I have been a Tech Specialist for more than 50 years on computer stuff - I did not feel I was actually getting support to make the unit work. If you know specifically what you are doing with Net Gear products I am sure it is a good product. For us folks who have not used this product it is like walking across a lake expecting to walk on the water - I just do not know where the stepping rocks are.
