Easy to set up—4 bolts total.
Heavy base plate with nice pads so when repositioning, doesn’t scratch your surface.
Stable. I can also open my 15 in MacBook Pro one-handed. The metal plate holding the laptop has a bit of movement when bolts are fully tightened but once the laptop weight is on it, there’s just a slight flex of the metal when you rest your wrists. I do wonder over time if typing directly on my laptop versus using my wireless keyboard, I might need to add some slim silicone washers. Will update if this ever becomes a problem.
The two pieces keeping the laptop from slipping off have nice dense minimal padding to keep the edge of your laptop from getting scratched and are centered enough that my wrists did not rub up against them while typing or resting.
Raising the height takes a bit of effort but is easy enough while sitting, even with my laptop on it. Just have to loosen the screw in back, then place one hand on the base and one under the plate. It’s stiff but there’s no wobble at full height.
Good as an affordable sit-stand desk alternative, especially in small spaces. I’m 5’9’’ and at max height of the stand, I can type and view my screen with only a slight downward angle of my head.
At its lowest, my laptop front sits at ~7.5 in and the bottom of the screen is at 10 in.
At max height, the front of my laptop sits at ~12.5 in and the bottom of the screen is at 15 in.
