Configuration and setup is simple using WPS and auto-configuration. If for some reason WPS configuration isn't supported, the UI is si mple to access and use. The extender adds additional WiFi networks that use the same names are noted by EXT after your original WiFi names. You use the sam e WiFi password. With a device like this, location is critical. It must have a decent signal from your router to be of any use an area that does not have WiFi signal. There are LEDs on the front of the device that indicate if you should move the extender closer to the router or closer to the WiFi device connected.

I got this wifi extender to improve my wifi performance which was really bad; the signal strength has really improved. My house is pretty big, two floors and about 2,500 square feet. We don't have any problem getting decent wifi upstairs now; but this extender comes with an extra feature that others might not have: it had an lan port which you can use to connect a device that has no wireless card, which we did; my son has a gaming computer in his room that has no wireless card, we were in the process of buying a wireless card for his computer when I came across this extender, and voila! It works like a charm. My son plays online video games without any problems.Installation was a breeze. It takes about 10 min to install.We couldn't be any happier with this extender. Price is reasonable; great performance; just as described.I'd recommend this item to a friendHope this helps!

I still can't believe this was so easy to set up and works so well. We have a 300 MBps wifi router, and can extend signal with speeds over 100 MBps in the furthest corner of our house. I am not very knowledgeable about IT stuff, but found the instructions easy to follow and had no issues during setup. This is a dual band extender, and while we set it up for both 2.4 and 5 GHz, we find that the range on the 5GHz is great. To set up, you plug it in to an outlet in the same room as your router, use a mobile device (I used my phone) to go through the setup steps, then plug it in to an outlet at the edge of the router range (which for us was upstairs in a hallway) and then connect your devices. Start to finish the whole process took me about 10 minutes.

This wifi extender really saved me. I could not get wifi signal in my bedroom so I was on data while on my phone in bed. My data use was skyrocketing and I was going over my data limit. This device is actually saving me money because now I can actually use the wifi in my house and not be on my phone's data plan. Very easy to install but the trick is that you actually have to read the directions. Only hiccup that I had with the installation was that I had to reset my router to connect the device. Highly recommend for anybody that needs a strong wifi signal. Wifi is life!
