First off, I want to say that I am a diehard Apple user. This HP 2022 Stream 14" is the first Windows product I've ventured into in a long while. My main motivation to switch things up was to see the contrast in user experience between a Windows laptop and an Apple one.

One thing that definitely drew me to this laptop was the price tag. Unlike its Apple counterparts that can run into the thousands, this HP laptop was an affordable $319.00. That's incredible value for money!

However, there was an immediate downside I noticed: the absence of a keyboard backlight. With my not-so-great eyesight, a backlight would have been a big help. Despite that, the laptop itself feels light, even more so with the protective case I added.

In terms of battery life, I manage to squeeze out a good 4 hours, especially with tasks like schoolwork and Zoom meetings. As for the Windows system, it's taking some readjusting, but overall, the laptop has been holding up well. It's been a worthwhile shift, and I appreciate the balance of cost and functionality this HP offers.

buttons are hard to read without overhead lighting. need easy to read instructions for how to load windows 365. had to google that. also i thought it came with anti-virus protection? had to figure out a lot of the operational stuff by trial and error. bought it for my 80+ year old mom. she does like how light weight it is. and luckily she stay at my house for a few weeks to get me to answer how to use it

Serves my needs surfing the net. I am on You tube constantly. Great entertainment & got me through the winter when it was cold. This was recommended by Amazon & I am never disappointed with their suggestions. Works fast with our WIFI. Not a gamer, I thrive on information, history & learning. This is great and more lightweight than my previous one. Love the rose gold color!

The laptop looked like it had been repackaged. HP laptops are always packed a certain way, once you take the laptop out of the cardboard holder the last step is to take the laptop out of a plastic bag with a tapped seal. This computer did not have the bag or seal. Plugged the charger into the laptop and pushed power. Nothing, flashed white for a half second and would never power up. Waste of time and money having to return. Went to Target and bought the upgraded version for $100 more. Should have done that in the first place.

The media could not be loaded.
 I read the reviews before buying and was iffy on getting it but after two days so far it works great. Turns on quick and connects to the internet really fast. So far I am pleased with it :) the only thing is the card reader it comes with DOESNT FIT any ports so be careful not to shove it in anywhere. I guess resell it or something they’re worth like $20. I also tested the battery life, I started with 100% at 10AM and ended up with 38% by 2:50PM so watch your battery at the 5-6 hour mark.
