I bought this computer to run Logic Pro X. That program and it's supporting VSTs / AUs are the only thing installed. I set up, downloaded what i needed, and after 2 weeks of use it now takes nearly HALF AN HOUR for the computer to do s simple restart and takes in excess of 10 minutes to open a single Logic file. It crashes and freezes in Logic ALL the time as well. I have a mac laptop from 2009 that runs better than this thing. It is completely useless to me, and was a massive waste of my money, but more importantly my time. Now I will have to buy another computer but also spends thousands of dollars re-authorizing the software I bought for this computer on my next one. I don't know if they simply don't test these before they sell them or if I just got a lemon but I'm pretty pissed.

Slow machine with a lacking functionality software plagued with bugs, immaculate physical condition.

As an old product I can overlook this machine not being fast, still after upgrading to an SSD (another 40) the 2.6 GHz dual core processor is just too weak. But the conclusion is that even with a brand-new hardware the software would take care of making a painful experience.

Mac OS 12 is a clumsy system, made for kids with poor usability and several features lacking, common things that in windows takes seconds are simply nonexistent or require several steps, customization and monitor options are very limited, it was required to use a mini dp to dp cable just for being able to set 60 Hz refresh rate, which was impossible with regular HDMI cable (another 12 USD). I bought this machine with the sole intention of backing up the photos from my iphone and having them with live, persons, favorites and memories, all of that resulted to be impossible, the photos app is full of bugs, it looks like apple doesn’t want you to free from the cloud, even if it manages to pass to the importing section, the app stops importing for no reason and never restarts importing again, another library has to be created when it bugs. It never recognize faces and memories are half done. Unlike windows ,you are lucky if you find a workaround on the web, several people having similar issues with just no solution.

Aside from having severe limited usability even after extra expense, the unit was in an immaculate physical condition, externally it was like new and internally it was perfectly clean and neat.

Tired of slow windows updates

I've been windows user for a lot of years. Several years ago I began to work with lynux os. Yes, I was I am tired with excesive, slow and boring Windows upgrades and large updates. I decided to purchase this mini mac to learn more about this mac os. Many colleagues have mac pc systems and they never changed to windows. Now thanks to this mini mac I am enjoying mac os system. A colleague helped me to change slow and noisy old hard disk to a new NVMe 500 Gb. Now it works faster and with a great fluidity.
