So I really like buying refurbished items. It's great for the environment and it saves money. I was very happy when the router arrived with minimal packaging. It was inside a cardboard box with cardboard packaging. There was very minimal plastic used. The router did still have the protective film over the glossy top panel and also had protective film over each antenna. It looks like it's never been used. It was easy to set up. I just surfed into the interface of the router and followed the on-screen prompts to set it up to work with my ISP's gateway. I even found it very easy to set up port triggering. The WiFi signal was strong enough to cover our home which is a basic 3 bedroom ranch and we even have the router in the basement. I have no doubts that this router will handle all of our needs, all for around $80. Very pleased.

I've had this WiFi router for over a year now and I can confidently and easily say this is the best router I've ever owned. No glitches or errors or troubleshooting ever required to operate and use this thing and the speeds are incredible. On top of that you get the latest tech which is WiFi 6 and the price point is phenomenal. Don't mess around with any other router that is more expensive with this. Save yourself some money and just go with this. It will blow your socks off and won't ever let you down.

Only downer was lack of any documentation -- but available online. Scuffed, but black case does not show, unless focussed view. Easy to set up even w/o docs. Have not put into use yet, as this is second unit for relative's house.

The AX3000 Smart Wi-Fi Router supports WPA3 security protocol. Super easy to set up using a computer. I chose not to download the app to my cell phone. After reading many articles about router security, I ran multiple online tests for the purpose of exploiting known vulnerabilities. Perfect scores. I believe my home network has never been more secure.

defective router update

I already owned a surfboard modem and a archer router but due to there age and they were just to slow for streaming ,so I decided to upgrade to the fastest router and modem I could get in the same models I was using. I purchased a new surfboard modem and a new archer router but couldn't get them to work. I called my service provider and they couldn't get the service to work. They immediately sent out a service rep and he went thru the entire system and narrowed the problem was a detective router. I replaced the defective router with my old router and the problem was fixed. I haven't contacted Amazon yet for a replacement so I will update how this ends up.This is the update. When I was searching for a replacement router for the old and outdated version I came upon the refurbished version I eventually purchased which happened to be defective. I contacted Amazon immediately after going thru my isp service dept. And coming to the conclusion that the router was defective. I contacted Amazon where they sent me a return sticker for a free return. When I went to the site of the same model router I was surprised that there was only a few dollars difference between the new model and the the returned model where upon I purchased the new model where upon it is everything it says it was and a great router and a very good price.
