4.0 out of 5 stars Good for what it is intended for

I bought this to scan boxes of film negatives and slide I accumulated before I switched to digital photography. So far I have scanned a couple of thousand frames of color negatives and slides over two weekends. My verdict is that if you are just interested in putting your negatives and slides into digital format, and don't intend to do professional editing on them, you will be happy. It's easy to operate, scans quickly, and the quality of the pictures are fine to my eyes. There are simple adjustments for exposure and RBG, but you mostly don't need to do any adjustment if the pictures were taken with the right exposure. The only problem I have encountered is that on the first few scans after turning it on, it will not detect my SD card (I use a 32 GB SD card to store the scans) and I will have to recycle the unit to get it to work properly. It's annoying but so far that fixes that problem. Overall, this is a good scanner for the money. It doesn't take up a lot of space, can work without being connected to a computer, and you can scan a large amount of negatives and slides in a short time. Can definitely recommend.

5.0 out of 5 stars Converted hundreds of slides

I had hundreds of family photos on slides. The Wolverine did well. The adjustments are easy to use so that the images come out nice. I am not a photographer, just wanted to archive and share my Dad's photos. I used it primarily on 35MM slides. Did not do much with the other media. I recommend the Wolverine Titan.

I scanned over 2000 old film negatives - both 35mm and APS. Overall, the Wolverine Titan did a good job. It was intuitive and saved the images to my SD card quickly. It took about 12 hours to do the entire 2000+ photos which is faster than I expected. On the negative side, I was disappointed with the color adjustments available. Adjustments really need to be in smaller increments to be very helpful. It could be that the negatives were old and that was the problem. Most were 15+year old Kodak negatives. All the pictures had strong green and red tints. I was able to adjust for the green but not the red. Will have to do some photoshopping of photos I want to print or use otherwise. I also found the 35mm tray difficult to use. The negatives would not slide in as they kept getting caught on something in the tray. I ended up sliding them in the wrong way (left to right) which seemed to work better, but not without difficulty. The APS negative holder was larger than my negatives so I had to manually adjust the film both horizontally and vertically. Not a huge deal, but in the future it would be nice to be able to just slide it through and not worry about top and bottom alignment. Overall, I think this is a decent machine for quick scans. It is easy to use (aside from difficulty inserting the negatives), intuitive and compact. I loved that it didn't require my computer to use!

5.0 out of 5 stars Found I could use the negative type 110 to enlarge on my 135
Reviewed in the United States on February 18, 2019
Found that some of the picture gets cut off, but can not tell you if this happened on the originals as well. Just recently found that I could take a negative that is 135 and make another scan of the same photo with the 110 option and it is like enlarging the photo. This has worked great for a number of negatives where I had family members in a scenice photo and wanted to see the same shot of just the people. Unfortunately it only enlarges the center, but I can move the negative left or right at least.

I was unable to do my slides, 110 negatives and 35mm negatives so far. Have not tried my 8mm, but looking forward to it. I have done over 10,000 slides and negatives.

I used Seattle Film Works film, which was returned as slides. These slides did great on the color.

Found the screen nice and large. I would like it larger, but I am getting older.

Would suggest this item to anyone who has the older negatives and slides.

5.0 out of 5 stars Better Than I Hoped

This little device is easy to set up, easy to use, and very effective. The resulting picture quality is much better than I expected. I enjoyed easily and quickly copying several hundred 35mm slides and posting the digital results on Flickr for family and friends. I did not use the Wolverine for significant editing of my slides and didn't intend it for that purpose, which is much more effectively managed on my computer screen with dedicated software for that purpose...as one would expect. A very good buy in my view.
