I’ve had terrible luck with printers over the past 7 years. I don’t know why, but they never work after 2-3 uses. This one is super user friendly. I’ve had no problems using the printer from my laptop, my phone, and my boyfriend’s phone. A huge bonus is that I don’t ever have to worry about buying ink, and it prints images with pretty good quality.
The one noteworthy drawback is that it doesn’t print in color, which doesn’t make or break it for me but if you’re someone who needs to print in color then a thermal printer is most likely not the right option for you.

This works really well and is small enough you can fit in your purse and take it with you. It prints pretty well and the app to use it is easy to set up. Its wireless and you don't have to worry about it jamming up.

I desperately wanted to love this printer because I have a Jaden’s thermal label printer that I love. It’s super compact, lightweight, prints quickly, you can charge it and use it without it being plugged in, take it with you in a purse or backpack, there’s a third party zip holder you can get, it’s bluetooth/wireless, and has an easy set up on an iPhone app. (note that I’m already used to how Jaden‘s printing works so it was easier for me to set this one up then when I had to learn how to do the thermal label printer-it’s a little different than typical printers). Unfortunately, I didn’t realize that the paper that thermal printers use is essentially fax paper, which are very thin. Youths-google fax machine ;)

Also, good luck writing on it with ink without it smearing all over. I think they sell special markers to write on it. But that’s more $$$. If you use the paper rolls, the print out won’t be flat. For this, I recommend getting the flat paper that has perforated edges that they sell, but that paper also has its own issues which I will review separately. Paper costs about $20 per hundred pages, which is a lot compared to regular printer paper and the cost of ink! some things to note (about this one and other thermal printers): it doesn’t print double sided, you can’t print in color (it uses heat and not ink), and paper runs out very quickly.

I exchanged it for a cheap ink printer (with a scanner, copier, and fax that thermal printers don’t have) that gives 6 months of free ink and paper. It goes through ink like I’ve never seen before but my other ink printer broke after many years.

I think this printer would be good for certain people depending on your needs. Unfortunately, it didn’t meet my needs.

I ended up returning and getting a regular ink printer.

I am highly impressed so far. I've only had it for one day and only printed 3 docs so far so keep that in mind. Set up was super fast from my phone and the images were very crisp. We printed a regular document, a registration form and a picture. We initially thought that there was no paper but it came with a roll inside. We set it up so the roll stayed inside and voila. I need to buy more paper now so you can either get 200 sheets of foldable paper that you would leave on a desk or flat surface, feed in and let the printer pull through and print on OR 4 rolls equaling about 100 sheets or 25 sheets per roll that you can put inside the printer making the device completely portable and paper unnoticeable. Both options are the same price. I think I'll buy both and mostly use the roll and keep the sheets for back up. Also I have not connected it to a laptop or desktop yet but I don't see that being an issue.
Update: Get it! One of the best investments I made this year. Just printed from my laptop and it took 3mins to set up. So impressed. Love it.

This little is thing perfect for a studio apartment like mine, or for travel or on-the-go printing. It's lightweight and easy to carry, great for working outside the office. The Bluetooth connection lets you easily connect to your phone or laptop, and it works with my iPhone and my android tablets. The best part is that It's a thermal printer, so no need for ink cartridges. It prints on regular sized paper, and the print quality is good for a thermal printer, though maybe not as sharp as laser or inkjet. The Battery life lasts a while too. All in all it’s low Maitnance and high quality.

From the box, I was printing within 3 minutes (including the 2 it took to download the app). The quality is better than expected and the convenience is beyond perfect (it weighs less than my iPad and it’s small enough to carry in my backpack with a laptop). It has also held its charge for a week so far. The app is very easy to use. If I HAD to give a drawback, it would be that the “tear teeth” aren’t very sharp, so I sometimes don’t have a smooth edge (though that could be user error). Great product!!

This product is wonderful! No more needing to worry if there is ink to print. Comes with a roll of paper ready to use. App instillation was fast and easy, I love this way better than regular printing especially since we don't ever need to print much anyways so no need to worry if you have ink for 1 print.
