5.0 out of 5 stars Customer is happy

Customers happy installed it and they have not had any issues with their Wi-Fi since. This replaced in Euro system with one unit instead of the three they were using that we're getting super hot damn not had any complaints in our super happy. I have no grapes with that it was easy to install and work very well. Recovered the whole house with this one unit rather than three of those little ones

5.0 out of 5 stars Great bang for that buck

The router is great. Decent price. Has wifi 6. Had no issues with a variety of devices. Speeds are blazing. Signal strength is also quite impressive---I am able to get connection through a metal storefront door that’s 50 feet away, a wall, and a bunch of metal-containing boxed objects. Never needed to restart it and it’s been like a year.

The user interface is good.. I’m used to older routers, which were quite busy. This one’s seems cleaner. There’s a guest network option too. I didn’t do the signing up to any service with them. Seemed like a gimmick.

One thing I would have liked to have though would be an option for it to provide power over ethernet to connect a security camera I have with only 1 wire. Trying to find out if it can do power over ethernet online was impossible. No mention one way or the other, but it would be a selling point and they would mention it if it was available. The power chord for the router is thin (as usual for routers), and I’m guessing if it was able to feed power it would have a beefier power chord itself.

One thing I did not try was to make it act as a wifi repeater. So can’t comment on that.

All in all, for the price, the performance is great for what I got it to do. Would get it for the house if the interwebs was fast enough to justify a wifi-6 router there.

5.0 out of 5 stars So far so good....

It came in good shape with all the cables. It has been working well for my apartment so far, covers 720 sq.ft with no dead zones. I rarely have an issue with wi-fi running slow. You can also download the nighthawk app to monitor devices and internet speeds.

4.0 out of 5 stars It was easy to set up and worked great until a few days after the 30 day return window
Reviewed in the United States on November 1, 2023
This had virtually no set up instructions, but I just swapped cords from the old one into the new one and somehow it worked-- YAY! Great signal, worked like a charm until it didn't. It could have been a power surge, but it was plugged into a surge protector and nothing else was impacted. I thought I might still be in the return window, but I ordered on Sept 21, started using it on Sept 25 and now on Oct 31 I find that I need to buy a new router. Bummer. Not 100% sure if its a bad product or not, since it did work great for about 5 1/2 weeks. I'd rate it 5 stars for the 5.5 weeks, but 1 star for dying so quickly. To be fair, gracious, I'm settling on a 4 star review.

Easy to connect with the nighthawk app. Lost wireless connectivity with older nighthawk router.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fast easy setup, great speed vs my old unit...
Reviewed in the United States on March 26, 2024
My previous router supplied by my ISP was starting to fail, restarting on its own about every 20 minutes.
I called and found out that this unit I was LEASING for $15 a month was the "most current model they had" and were more than happy to replace like for like... no thanks.
For the price of leasing a POS for a few more months i just bought this. Boy what a big change...
My new speeds are several times faster and my router has operated as expected. Setup was very easy through an ap. In 5 minutes (most of which was firmware updates) i was connected. The ap makes it very easy to change IDs and Passwords, even setup different networks. Definitely would recommend

1.0 out of 5 stars Not working - factory reset made it worse

I bought this router as a recommendation of my ISP for our city's new Fiber. It is rated over 1 GB, which is what I'm getting from the city's link. I have an ISP who I highly recommend, and they helped me troubleshoot it as far as they could, and the result is, the fiber is up (I tested it by removing the router from the network and plugging my laptop directly into the city/ISP's device, and everything popped back to life.)

The jury is not still out on this one. I can't recommend it to anyone. I go back to work tomorrow, and don't have internet in my home office. Neither does my wife. I'll have to run to Best Buy (Worst Experience Ever), or Walmart (they know nothing about anything), and pick something up that WILL work. I don't trust the things Amazon has been doing, so am not sure that I'll get anything back on this purchase. That's just under $100.oo wasted for a product that lasted almost exactly 6 weeks.

I used to trust Netgear. It's been a while since I bought anything of theirs. Not since I stopped being an I.T. Director and don't need to purchase equipment for a company. But, my customers now are places everyone's heard of, like Vanderbilt U., the U.S. Senate, the House or Reps; Apple, Oracle, Facebook. You know, tiny companies... I'm not a happy camper. It's Sunday late, and nothing's open, and it sucks to be me.
Oh wait, Walmart is open, and I got a TP Link Wi-Fi 6 router. It works fine, as long as I have Smart Connect turned on. With that off, the link is flaky. I tried that with the Netgear router, but it made very little difference.
So, to date (it's been several days since writing the above), I was told by Amazon that I had to go to Netgear for help. They will require going through the standard troubleshooting steps, so I'll have to take my internet down and plug this thing back in, then a Netgear engineer will access the router and check stuff out... I may get a new one out of this, and I'll be okay with that.
No such luck. I reset it and it stayed up a couple of weeks, but now is completely dead. I'm never buying Netgear again. They charge monthly fees for basic services on the thing. I'll never pay monthly for services like this. QoS, parental controls, etc SHOULD NOT BE SUBSCRIPTION SERVICES!
