I use this mount for my GMRS Rigged Radio in my Ford F250 drink holder. I ran a 6 mm tap into nylon plate. To install, 4 bolts from GMRS radio bracket to this mount very sturdy and solid.

Used this on my nucanoe pursuit dashboard for a Garmin SV7. It works great and is adjustable.

The included base hardware fits nicely and it works on most univera items. The quality of the product is good and its rather sturdy. I will note that local walmarts have a similar one at the same price point.

Also note that you will want to tighten the ball mount screws. Mine were loose out of box and I had some bouning on the water my first two trips out. That said its a great mount.

The only problem I've had is that the screw holding the base on came loose after I installed the mount which meant I had to take it off again and put locktight on that screw. Do that before you install it and you should be good to go.

I like the price, it is nbuilt sturdy. I glued, Lock-tighted (or epoxy) the ball post screw like some reviewers suggested. Good design.

It has great adjustment and was very reasonably priced. It was also easy to install and use. The only downside is that it has a lot of bounce on a 9in sonar while in heavy waves. I wouldn't recommend for bigger units.

(*I TOLD EVERYONE WHAT TO DO AND PEOPLE ARE STILL POSTING COMPLAINTS THAT IT BECOMES LOOSE! GO FIGURE! ????*)
The only reason I gave it 5 stars is because of the price, otherwise it would have been 2 stars! Here is the situation, after a while the ball comes loose off its pedestal because they aren't one molded piece. When you first get the item turn the pieces over and remove the silver machined screw with an allen key(both balls). The next step is take some 2 ton epoxy(hardware store) and apply liberally into the threaded brass insert(in the ball) and on the allen screw threads, also put some epoxy on where the parts interface. Now just reassemble everything "SUPER TIGHT" making sure the parts are perfectly flush(the interface of the parts is slightly "keyed" make sure you are lined up right!) Once the epoxy cures the pieces will NEVER come loose again! The overall build quality and "fit n' finish" of this item is VERY GOOD
for the price. I agree you shouldn't have to do this but considering what real "RAM MOUNTS" cost, the investment of 5 minutes and $5 worth of epoxy is MORE than worth it, trust me brand name is nice, but you will save $50-$100 glueing them up quick and buying this "knock off" mount!!
**THE BALL IS 1.8" HOWEVER THE CLAMP WILL TIGHTEN PERFECTLY ONTO A 1.5" BALL ALSO!
THIS MOUNT FIT MY HUMMINGBIRD HELIX 7 PERFECTLY! I ALSO HAVE ONE ON MY HELIX 5 BUT IT REQUIRED DRILLING 2 ADDITIONAL HOLES(SUPER EASY!) IN DEFENSE OF THE PRODUCT, I WOULD NOT EXPECT IT TO FIT EVERY SINGLE DEVICE ON THE MARKET PERFECTLY!

this is total junk !! the ball is cheaply attached to the bracket by a screw that’s even with adding a lock washer and thread lock comes lose on every trip i have been fishing many years and never bought one this bad!! total
