The receiver and remote are easy to navigate and have all the controls I want on my boat. I do love that it has bluetooth connectivity, which has worked well. I give it five stars because for the price I feel like the speakers have an acceptable quality. The speakers are not the quality of more expensive speakers, but with realistic expectations I was surprised with their range. They did not ship any mounts with the speakers, which was not ideal.

Ok the reviews about it not turning on. The first time it powers on you have to cick the on button a few times and it will turn on. This radio is ok for a boat that is used on the lake then stored in a garage. It's water resistant for light right. But if you leave your boat outside for a few rain storms, you will get water inside the screen. It doesn't seem to mess with the performance just the screen.

Well worth the price

It's only been installed a couple of weeks, so I can't speak to longevity. But for $60ish dollars, it's a great unit.
Receiver is well worth the price by itself - the speakers are fairly meh but it's hard to be too judgmental given the price point. I was replacing some 15 year old Kenworths which were blown and weather beaten all the hell - well, as it happens, they still sounded better with the new receiver than the new ones do. Slight bummer there. But, really, it's unfair to expect a $60 radio & speaker set to sound like a speaker that costs $30-40 by itself. And the included speakers work just fine.

I suspect the unit is not very water proof - luckily I already had a weathertight cover that closes securely over the receiver from the old unit. I would strongly recommend getting one as it is not included in the kit and if the radio is exposed to the elements, I have little doubt it would die almost instantly. If it is mounted into some sort of cabinet, I assume it would be fine.

The remote is a nice touch. I thought it silly at first but as it happens, it makes it much easier to adjust the radio without having to pop open the weather proof cover.

I never leave reviews, but I feel like I need to give fair warning to others so you don’t fall for this! I bought this for my husband to be installed in our golf cart. We did purchase the ‘Used-Like New’ for a slight discount. Big mistake. The speakers were good. However receiver came scratched all over, had a bent USB, no directions and no accessories (no mounting plate, no remote, no wiring, etc).

I reached out to Pyle, assuming they’d make things right. WRONG! They basically just told me that we order used and that’s what we get. Basically they dug an old, scratched receiver out of the trash and sent it to us marked as ‘Like New’. They blamed Amazon...might be on them, I don't know. What I do know is that I didn't get what I paid for. I don’t even know if it actually works. This will most definitely be our last time ordering from this company. You may want to consider other brands as well.

It's OK for the price bit cheap and flimsy. Wires are extremely thin and it does not like any kind of moisture what so ever. Sometimes turns on and so.etimes not. What can you expect for the price though.

The waterproof radio is what we wanted this radio for mostly. But for small speakers it is very good sound. We have a rag top and drive without doors so the road noise is loud but the radio is just right. Price was really nice. We had all the parts to install and wire it up. And I love the white system instead of a black stereo. Great find and two thumbs up!!
