One word, AMAZING. You'll think you're at the theater. Set it to movie and dual and prepair to be blown away. Sound you can feel. Easy hook up. Make sure your tv has the hdmi EArc port. The first one I bought only had it. The second one I bought had a variety. eArc, opticle, usb, and another older tech cord.

I'm fairly fussy on my audio quality... my main TV is a 4K set-up with 7.1 higher-end home theater speakers. But I'm also practical and fairly satisfied with the sound quality of many soundbars for use on secondary TVs, or as bluetooth speakers in the garage, office, or patio.

A few years ago, none of the soundbars in the hundred-dollar range would have pleased me, but I am perfectly happy with this one for use with our secondary TV. The sound quality, even before really breaking it in, is pretty good. It could stand to have a little more higher freqency response, but perhaps that will come with a few more hours of use (I also believe that if you use this with a compatible Vizio TV, you get on-screen control over things like bass/treble settings.)

COMPATIBILITY:
A couple of reviewers gave bad reviews and complained that this only works on VIZIO TVs. ***THEY ARE WRONG*** They either had TVs that were too old to have an ARC (Audio Return Channel) HDMI port, or they just didn't know what they were doing. If your TV has an ARC or eARC HDMI port, use it for this. It will work... just think of it as an audio-out cable... you can still watch incoming video on the other HDMI ports, but the audio will be routed out the ARC port to the soundbar. This soundbar does not come with a remote, but that's okay. Changing the volume on your TV remote will change the volume on the soundbar. If you connect via bluetooth (like from your phone) the volume control on your phone will control the speaker (and there's always physical Vol +/- buttons as well.)

I'm impressed that this one support Dolby Atmos, but honestly, I don't see how a 2-channel speaker can possible do that level of audio simulation... if you really care about the benefits of Atmos, you're probably going to buy a full-fledged home theater set-up.

I've also had an LG soundbar that I liked better, but it was double the price and had an external sub-woofer (it also stopped working on our cross-country move, so there's that.)

It all comes down to what you want and how fussy you are. If cost is your deciding factor and you want to keep it under a hundred dollars, I think you'll be impressed with this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works great with my LG tv

I have been suffering from tinnitus so was always reading the closed captions in order to not miss any dialogue. Decided to try the Vizio soundbar, even though my tv is LG, to see if it would help. Wow, what a difference. After the very simple install and adjusting the eq to emphasize the vocals I was able to stop needing the CC.
It paired quickly with the TV without the need for an additional remote. The app is simple and although you don’t need it constantly, you still need to use it for any eq adjustments or to change the source. For example I connected my phone by Bluetooth to use it as a music speaker.
Now I listen to my playlists while watching some beautiful YouTube videos of travel recommendations.
Add to these that the bar looks great and the price is right!

3.0 out of 5 stars Good not great!

This soundbar is good for a smaller-sized room and the Vizio app control is awesome, but there's no Atmos effect whatsoever. You can work the EQ to get a decent sound worthy of its cost but I wanted at least some semblance of virtual surround. If you're buying this just to augment your TV's speakers, it's worth it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Really Bad Sound Quality

This was a huge letdown. We went from our 5 year old Bose soundbar ($500 version 5 years ago) to this and it's a 10-1 difference, in a bad way. The sound quality is awful, sounds almost echoey, and to my knowledge, there's no way to change it. Spend the extra $50-$100 for better quality sound.

2.0 out of 5 stars Very Quiet

I get sound bars specifically because TV speakers these days are garbage and you have to have them cranked to 75 to even hear them. This sound bar is basically the same. I've got it cranked up to 64 and it's about the same as the TV. The sound quality is decent but I dislike having it turned up so high. Bought it on sale for $80. Probably worth it for that price. But would not recommend for full price.
