Had a previous Rove which I was always satisfied with and when I saw the new Dual with the Starvis 2 sensor and due to the fact that I was about to leave on a trip, I ordered it.
It came and I had trouble and support was graet in troubleshooting and agreeing to replace in a timely manner. I sent it back and had a new one in hand before they received the returned unit.
I realized that it was highly likely that the problem I had was due to my own fault. I called and told them so and that I was willing to take the original unit back without getting a redund. They were so nice about it that I just wished everybody followed this customer friendly and understanding model.
I highly recommend Rove for the quality of their imaging products but especially for the sensitivity and understanding in dealing wit an older customer.
Thanks to Jeffry, Gerald, and Andy and the rest of the Rove team. Sure to succeed with that kind of culture.

Install took about 2 hrs just because of my meticulous nature to ensure the least amount of cables are showing. Fishing the wires wasn't an issue for me as it was more of "tucking" them in neatly in my case.
Video quality which is the most important part seems great. More to come on this as I've only had the dashcam for 4 days but at first impression they capture clear and sharp videos in various lighting conditions.
The app also works as intended and is easy to use. It's well thought out and works asynchronously with the dashcams.
Overall a good buy!

I've been intent on getting one for years and this is my first.
Not too difficult to install. Just adjust your settings and plug it in.
You can connect this to your cell with an app, if desired. I have not done that yet. Not sure if I will or not.
There's a micro SD card for captures that you can view on a computer or other device. You cannot playback on the camera. This is a downside for me.
The card writes over and keeps recording unless you lock it.
There's a parking mode to capture when the car is off, however, you need to purchase a special kit to hard-wire the camera. If you try to use that mode another way, you'll run down your car battery.
There's no mention of this, but my guess is you could connect this to a power bank if you thought it would be necessary.
I set mine up in the house, then installed it in my Toyota. The camera comes on automatically when you start the car. It plugs into a USB jack or into the included car lighter socket.
My car has pitifully few places to connect USB. There are 2 USB-C outlets at the dash area, but no USB.
So, I had to use one of the long cables to come down the dash and beside the console to the pitifully small center storage. There's a USB and a 12v socket inside.
You can run up and across the door frames, but still not a help for me bc there's a sunroof with no place to attach the cable.
The back camera should be less conspicuous, but I haven't run the line for that yet.
The reviews for the app aren't supporting enough for me to use it at this time. However, this is the easiest way to watch and download videos.
For most vehicles, this is an easy plug-n-play type camera.
If you drive a lot, you should consider a dash cam and this one seems to be a good pick.
The clarity is quite good and covers a good area.
Everything you need to get started is in the box, as well as a well written manual. This is no user sheet. It's a comprehensive, articulate book of installation and usage instructions.
