My old stereo died and had to replace it. Found this model on line and liked the specifications. Took about 3 hours to do the take out and installation but that was mostly due to the fact that i wanted to retrace amd confirm the positive and negative terminals on my 6 speakers. Instructions we clear and easy to follow. System sounds great.

The layout of the white panel couldn't be more ergonomic, natural, logical and beautiful. The display is bright, just what you need on a boat with bright daylight.
I installed the radio on the boat about two years ago and it worked fine. I didn't take the boat on the water since I installed it but I started the engine about every two three weeks and turned on the radio and the CD player while the engine was running, no problem. However, the last time I turned it on the lights didn't come on, the radio had no power, it didn't work. I checked the fuse which was good and the power coming to the radio from the battery; the power was getting in through the connector but the internal power circuit didn't deliver voltage to the unit.
The warranty is only for one year so I don't think Pyle will repair or replace the unit without charge. This is a big disappointment for me and will contact them soon. I will make another review after I get a response from them. Initially I gave a five star review but as a result of the breakdown of the radio recently, I changed it to one.
