5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect!

I got this wireless CarPlay because I wanted to get in and out of the car faster, not be tethered by a cord, and prevent the random issues with CarPlay disconnecting even while wired in and the weird muffled audio sound that would sometimes happen after receiving a message or notification from any app.

This device did everything I was hoping to accomplish. Initial setup maybe took a max of 3min. Some connectivity trial and error for a couple days, specifically with transferring ongoing calls when going from car being off to being turned on. Felt like the car, device and phone had to learn about each other for a couple days and now that it’s been a few weeks, the transition is smooth and quick.

    Pros:
-initial setup was quick and easy to complete with little to no use of the instructions
-didn’t need the extra cords provided
    -small, takes up no room
-connects quickly when turning on car. Approx 5-8sec to connect and playing music/transferring phone calls
-no change to car screen display or functionality
-no change or disruption in sound quality for both music and phone calls
-steering wheel controls function as normal
-talk assist features still function as normal

    Cons
-slight delay in switching between songs
-takes approx 8 seconds to transfer phone calls from car to cell phone when turning car off. (Recommend telling who’s on the line to wait a few moments while call transfers)
-(user error) since wireless, I often forget to plug my phone in to charge, so I get out the car without having charged my phone

The cons are so minor compared to the benefits of having the device that I felt they had no impact on the overall satisfaction of the device. This was the third device I’ve tried and it’s been far superior overall. I’ve recommended this specific device to multiple friends.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works great on my 2012 Toyota Camry with aftermarket Kenwood system
Reviewed in the United States on January 11, 2025
I have a basic 2012 Camry Hybrid LE without any bells or whistles. I replace the stock radio with an aftermarket Kenwood DDX9903S in 2016. That Kenwood did come with a wired Apple CarPlay and that worked great for the last 8.25 years but I wanted to ditch the cable and go full wireless. I’ve used it with various iPhone models from older ones using Lightning cable to my current iPhone 15 Pro Max with a USB-C cable.

I was very skeptical that this would even work at all given the age of the car and the aftermarket system. But on a lark I went ahead and ordered it. It shipped quickly and the adapter was very tiny. I unplugged my USB-C cable and connected the adapter. I followed the directions to connect, which was to ONLY connect to it using Bluetooth. After a few seconds, CarPlay appeared and everything works great. There is a lag though of maybe 0.25 seconds between when I touch the controls on my phone to when I hear it. This is more noticeable when listening to audio of any kind. Other actions like interacting with the map on your phone instead of the display was not as noticeable, though I’m sure it’s still there.

I’ve been using it for nearly a week now and it connects automatically. It does take anywhere from 25-35 seconds to fully connect from when I push the ignition button to when I see Apple CarPlay onscreen. So set your expectations accordingly. It’s not instant but it’s pretty quick since if I have to back up out of a parking space and am using the rear view camera, often times Apple CarPlay will appear when I put it into drive. So pretty quick but not instant.

Overall, I’m very happy with it given my particular set of circumstances where I was fully expecting it not to work at all. So the fact that it does work on a 13 year old car that didn’t come with Apple CarPlay, has an older aftermarket entertainment system replacement, and connects fairly quickly, I’m very pleased. 5 stars from me.

Navigation, music, and calls are now super convenient, and the wireless setup keeps the car clutter-free. Highly recommend this for anyone looking to enhance their driving experience!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wireless CarPlay.

Works great! Extremely easy, don’t need the cords given plugs directly in to the existing port. Looks durable, and extremely small so it’s not taking up a lot of space. It does have like a 2 second delay while switching through songs or answering calls and all but it’s wireless…. Come on. A 2 second delay vs a cord charger that “sometimes works” due to the cord wearing on the charging port to your phone leaving the CarPlay disabled while your phone is still able to charge. It’s not a big deal. 5 star by far. The connection is within seconds every time getting into the car.

I was initially concerned about setting up this product but it was very easy to connect to my car. It works better than I expected and I don’t have use a usb cable to connect my phone to the car. It’s worth the price. My old issue is that it loses the connection occasionally but overall a great investment.

Works perfect! Easy initial set up and the auto-connect feature makes it convenient as it connects to my vehicle audio system automatically upon start-up. No delays or loss of audio quality. Very small yet has solid construction. I have not had anyone spot it yet and ask "What is this thing?" Unless I point it out, no one sees it. A+ all around.
