A lot of people put an AirTag in their car to help locate it in case it's stolen. Problem is, the anti-stalking features (notification on a tracked person's phone, audible signal from the AirTag, and even a non-owner being able to use precision finding) render it only marginally useful for this purpose. I don't have a problem with there being a notification for anti-stalking, and the speaker can be disabled, but precision finding makes it a simple task for the thief to locate even a well-hidden AirTag, and discard it.
Precision finding is great for what is supposed to be the actual use of an AirTag (locating your lost stuff, not tracking stolen cars), but the Eufy tracker's lack of this feature is what makes it ideal for the "off-label" use case of tracking a stolen car (or other items). A potentially stalked individual still gets notified that they are being tracked, as does a thief, but finding the tracker is much more difficult (again, with the speaker disabled).
I currently have one silenced AirTag somewhat hidden (but likely fairly easily found) in my car, to serve as a "red herring" to a thief, as well as another that is in a harder-to-find spot. But I also have one of these Eufy trackers that is very well hidden. My hope is that after finding the easy AirTag, and probably finding the harder AirTag, then STILL being notified about a tracker that they couldn't find, they'd simply give up and abandon the car.
These trackers appear in the Find My app just like my Apple AirTags and devices. I did install the Eufy app and add them there first, as the instructions said to do (a firmware update was applied once I did so). Not sure if this step is absolutely necessary though.
Out of concern that Eufy might someday "improve" this product by adding precision finding, I just bought some extras to keep on hand.

They are easy to set up. The noise level is high enough to find in my house or car with no problem. I can find the tracker from my phone and I can find my phone from the tracker! The value for my money is great!
I have an iPhone and I use find my iPhone with the trackers. I have 4 of them now. I keep one on my keys and the other in bags I use often.
I have had to change the battery in one of them so far and that was very easy to do so.
