I first read bout this product on a sole traveler vlog. I decided to buy one for My middle school child who began walking home a few times a week. The birdie is reliable, super loud, has. Flashing light to attract attention when the pin is pulled from the device. It’s light weight, easy to use and has a convenient clip that you can use in a tons ways. It’s the perfect size. This device gave my daughter and I an extra sense of security for various situations that she may need to draw attention to to herself in an emergency situation. I bought a second one for my adult daughter after purchasing the first one . Comes in many colors as well.

This is very loud! I learned to keep it inside my purse unless I am in an area I feel unsafe. I accidently pulled the tab in a grocery store while bagging groceries and it got the attention of the other shoppers. Now it sits inside my purse instead of clipped outside where it could get caught accidently. It gives me some security knowing I could pull it for help

Safety as a woman always comes first so I purchased Birdies for my mom and sister as Christmas gifts and decided to grab one for myself too! I love that it's super loud, very bright, and easy to add to your keys! As a toddler mama, this is so much safer to carry on my keys in comparison to pepperspray that my son could potentially access quickly if my keys were left unattended. The Birdie comes in a variety of colors and the metallic purple is so beautiful! I highly recommend purchasing one of these for everyone you love!

DOA- Didn't work brand new out of box.

Super disappointed that this showed up dead/non operational, and grateful that I tested it first to make sure it did work rather than finding myself in a situation of needing it and it not working. I contacted birdie for support, and will update with my experience. ALWAYS TEST PERSONAL ALARMS, do NOT assume it will work. Yikes.

Update: haven’t heard back from Birdie’s support after contacting 4 days ago, Amazon ended up sending a replacement after I returned the order through them. Disappointing experience with Birdie customer service.

The Amazon replacement works! Days later, still no word from Birdie. Leaving a star off because of that.

New item works as advertised, I hope it stands the test of time.

I bought a two pack for my mother and myself since I'm traveling out of the country alone for the first time in my life. Testing it out, it was so loud and the light is so bright that my father, who had a stroke 3 years ago, fell over onto the floor. Don't worry, he's okay, but know this-- it is startling. Wouldn't it be amazing if it had the same effect on bad guys?! Get it for the women you love in your life. For such a small and simple item, there's no reason not to have it. Except maybe the price... but they say some proceeds support women's support groups so that's a positive.

This is LOUD and I like the strobe light!

I like that it was not too easy to activate (I was worried it might fall off the keychain and go off randomly) but it is easy enough to activate that if you were elderly or had little hand strength you could still easily activate it. I also like how aggressive the light and sound are. We tested this out in our home and it disoriented my husband and I for several minutes afterwords. This is perfect added sense of security for my morning walks and traveling/shopping alone. I would have given it 5 stars if they would have somehow linked the base of the alarm device to the top just to ensure it stays on the key ring if activated and is not lost.
