    Surprisingly, it works better than the remote that came with my Roku TCL TV. The reason why I'm replacing the original remote is due to it's not working properly. You have to press the button several times before it works. This replacement one is lighter than the original, but as soon as I inserted the batteries, no programming required. It immediately worked. There are also dedicated button for Netflix, primevideo, Hulu and Disney that works well. Also, the price is way cheaper than the original Roku remote.

    The dog ate the remote!! After ordering replacement pack, the remotes arrived quickly and worked the very second we pushed the power button. No syncing required, no technical savvy required. Thanks for a great product at a reasonable price.

    The remote did not come with batteries but I expected that and was prepared. I installed the batteries, pointed the remote at my tcl brand tv and the tv turned on. There was no need for setup. Works perfectly.

    This Nvidia Shield Pro replacement remote works better than the original. The design is better because the battery cover is easier to remove and the remote is more comfortable to hold and use. I had to return a previous replacement from another brand because it had terrible lag and you'd have to repeatedly press the button to get each function to respond. Amazon noted that that remote is frequently returned. I wish that I had read that disclaimer before purchasing it, my fault, but Amazon has an excellent return policy and all is well now. I'm very happy with my replacement remote.

    wow...all i did was put in batteries and it synced with my tv and i didn't have to do anything. the price was great for 2 and i like these better than the original it has 3 buttons on the clicker, hulu, netflix and prime and we have all three so that is an added bonus. works great, would buy again.

    We ordered two of the "tcl tv remote" and they work great overall, but I wish they had mute buttons.

    I just have so many questions for whoever choose to include a virtual keyboard button but no mute.

    This is ROKU TV replacement remote #7 in about 3 years. We have two young kids, one with special needs so our remotes get misplaced (One was put into the TINY freezer compartment of a beverage cooler and left there for 8 months until all of a sudden one day out of the blue the kid who put it in there remembered and pulled it out). So I need a FULL case. There is NOT one for this remote. THe standard FULL cases that go around the entire back and front and between the keys don’t fit this remote, I’ve tried several. Even the generic open face remote covers dont fit properly because this remote is a bit longer than the standard remote. This is why I gave 3 stars, either make your own version of a case OR follow size specs so people can get generic case.

    On the positive side and what got it 3 stars, it worked out of the package, no programing needed. All button worked well. THe lay out of the volume controls is odd. Three buttons in a horizontal row in this order vol down, MUTE, vol up. It’s find, but a little akward and causes constant confusion BUT it is so much better than the vol controls on the side.

    So great remote and honestly if we did not have feral honey badgers in our house I would have give 4 or 5 stars, but not being able to FULLY protect the remote gets it a few stars knocked off.
