I am notorious for leaving things in crafty places! As a result, I am fully-integrated into the Find My ecosystem. After being unsatisfied with another brand's wallet-style finder, I turned to UGREEN because of my positive experiences with their other products--namely phone chargers. While no product is perfect, this one checks all the important boxes for me.
The design is one of the slimmest I’ve encountered, making it super wallet-friendly--Much thinner than a competitor's Qi-charging model. While I have yet to own this for a year, the estimated 12-month battery life is a game-changer compared to the 30-day cycle of my previous Qi-charging finder.
Bluetooth is significantly more stable on the UGREEN finder vs. my old tracker. It connects faster, stays connected better, and avoids the constant “left behind” alerts that drove me nuts with my old tracker. No more false alerts while I'm driving--with my wallet in one pocket, phone in another--and a false alert that I've left my wallet in the middle of I-95!
Pairing was quick and painless too. The UGREEN is noticeably quicker to respond to commands (ex. start or stop sound) than my old finder. The Bluetooth connection alone makes this UGREEN finder the right choice for me - what good is a finder if your phone can't reliably **find** it, or if constant disconnections throw off the "Last Seen At" feature?!
Now for the downsides (only two!):
1. Losing the proprietary magnetic charger would be a headache since it’s not sold separately (at least for now). My old Qi-charging tracker had the edge here because I could use any wireless charger. On the flip side, it's quick to charge - roughly an hour to fully charge, and you only have to do it once a year. Since I’ll need to charge this much less often, the proprietary charger is not a dealbreaker for me.
2. It’s not quite as loud as my old tracker. I measured it at about 60-65 dB from three feet away, compared to 70-75 dB for my old one. It’s still audible in another room as the marketing material claims, but if loudness is your top priority, you might want to look elsewhere.
In short: this is a great option for a Wallet tracker if your top priorities align with mine:
1. thin and light form factor.
2. long battery life.
3. rock-solid, reliable connection.
For me, the UGREEN tracker a big step up from my previous tracker, and checks all my boxes. That said, if you want the absolute loudest tracker or require universal charging options, this form factor might not be the perfect fit.
