    This back up camera was really good for the price. The quality is good and led lights on it are bright. They include two brackets in the box so you can pick the one that is most convenient.

    A nice product that works well in older vehicles without reverse cameras. Design is elegant and well thought out. Bracket hides nicely behind license plate looks clean and almost factory.

    I purchased this reverse camera for my daughter's 2010 Honda Civic. She already had an aftermarket head end unit in the vehicle (a Dual XDCPA10BT) with a screen so I did not need a screen. The camera itself came nicely boxed with most of what was needed for the install except tools etc. The install took me about 3 hours but I am fastidious and wanted to done correctly. The cable from the camera to the head end unit was plenty long enough for our small sedan. I did need to adjust the camera downwards by bending the bracket a little then reinstalling over the license plate. Picture quality is adequate although not high definition by any means. I soldered all connections and was careful with my wire routing. I did need to drill a hole in the trunk lid to route the cable from the camera through to the inside of the boot but sealed the hole with silicon once the cable was routed properly.

    If you install this camera like I did you will need: Pliers, wire stripper, soldering iron flux and solder, heat shrink tubing, electrical tape and or some small zip ties of various lengths, plastic trim (pry) tools and a working knowledge of how to get to the back of your front end unit (Stereo) as well as procedure for removing trim panels from the front of the car all the way to the trunk or tail gate (in order to rout the cable). Not a difficult job just takes time. Consult youtube for what others have done.
    I would recommend this camera to others. 4 stars because it is good, I seldom give 5 star ratings, has to be pretty much perfect to get 5 from me.

    Full disclosure: Just installed today so have no idea on longevity or true function (if it helps my daughter back up more easily).

    Opinion/suggestion. The "night vision" of the camera is enhanced by the LEDs around the camera but largely dependent on the vehicle's reverse lights. I have owned many many cars in my life and without exception, all have had anemic reverse lights! I would recommend upgrading your reverse lights to brighter ones if possible. Check output/lumens/candle power compared to factory bulbs for your vehicle and remember LEDs are not always the solution. Osram, Sylvania and Phillips all make very bright halogen bulbs that will serve you well.

    Been using this for a couple of years and still very happy with it. Installed in my pickup with no problem. I hooked mine up to my GPS unit as a monitor. Put it in reverse and the camera kicks on. Image quality is fine for what it is. Has kept me from running over anybody so far. Works fine in 100 degree and below 0 temps.

    This camera was fairly easy to install. It has built in LED lighting for extra illumination when reversing. It also has wire loops that can be cut to enable/disable the backup camera lines, and to mirror the image for use as front or rear parking camera. I’m super happy with the unit and would purchase it again without hesitation!

    I have a 2003 Toyota Sequoia that just won't quit, but it needed a head unit update. (Who really needs a tape deck anymore!?). The new head unit allowed for a backup camera so I picked up this one. The hardest part was running the wire, but even that wasn't too hard. It plugged right into the planet audio head unit and works flawlessly. It has great resolution during the day and at night! It also has a wide field of view so that you can easily see cars or people passing when backing out in a parking lot. If you have a big car, a backup camera is a must. If you drive an older car like me, this is a great option. It's so easy to mount and works great!

    I have tried 2 of these in the past 2 years, 1 a year. The first one did not last a year and I thought maybe I didn't make adequate connections because the wires seemed corrode. The second one I made sure to waterproof and protect much better, it has recently failed as well. I do not know for sure what failed this time and have not taken the time to trace out my wiring again because if I'm going to spend time doing it I think I will install something a little more durable this time. When it was working I was happy with the picture and performance. I guess for $20 I wasn't sure what to expect and I guess I could do 1 a year for the next 3 and still only be in it for $100 but I'm not spending my time installing multiple times.
