It is the latest wireless CarPlay adapter. With this gadget, you can get rid of your data cable as it automatically converts wired CarPlay into wireless CarPlay. It is a new technology that brings a lot of conveniences when playing music, getting navigation, and making hand-free calls. It is a highly compatible gadget that supports online version upgrades and problem reporting, which is possible with the guidance of customer service personnel. It automatically turns on day and night mode to protect the eyesight of the driver.I got this OTTOCAST Apple CarPlay Dongle and used it for a while before handing it to my niece. I always played my favorite tunes with this Wireless Carplay, and I enjoy watching the lyrics is shown on the Touchscreen. It works well with my 2018 Toyota Tacoma. The setup and initial pairing were incredibly smooth and easy. She already has a pioneer unit, and it works flawlessly. Her iPhone pairs with the car stereo and automatically connect within a few seconds via WiFi and Bluetooth each time she gets into her car.I think it works well with most cars that have factory-installed wired CarPlay function. Look for the Carplay icon on the car stereo to see if it has this function.

This is an amazing device that deserve a proper review. I’m using it with a Camaro 2017 and iPhone 13. My car did come with the wired CarPlay capability, and I wanted to upgrade it to the wireless version. This device is exactly what I needed to do this. Timed the delay between pushing the ignition to the moment is actually connects to the phone, is 29 seconds. But is surely way better than needing to connect via cable. Sound has a slight lag of a fraction of a second which is normally not even noticed (unless you’d play a video, but then again you’re driving so you shouldn’t be playing videos anyways). GPS, both through Apple Maps and Google Maps, are spot on. No lag. And navigating the user interface through the Camaro’s screen is responsive. Not so much on the music app, for some reason there is a 2 seconds lag on the user interface of the music app, but I suspect this has more to do with iOS. In general, awesome device highly recommended.

This Wireless Carplay adapter works flawlessly! Just plug it into your wired CarPlay enabled vehicle, wait for car play to pop up like usual, and then connect your iPhone to it via Bluetooth, and tap allow wireless CarPlay and you’re all set! Whenever you turn on your car, wait about 15-30 seconds and CarPlay will turn on! I will say on this wireless CarPlay you lose some features like cycling forward and backwards by 10 seconds through a particular track on Spotify that you get when wired, at least on iOS 14 and 15. It just skips and goes to the previous track. Other than that however it’s the exact experience you know and love! I didn’t experience any lag and everything runs perfectly! It’s super convenient and honestly hard to get adjusted to as I still tend to pull out my phone since it’s muscle memory after all these years just to see that CarPlay is already up and running! This is a really convenient device and I think it’s worth every penny!

So far so good, will see how long it lasts. The installation was simple and straightforward. It's a very small box, and it has additional USB A passthrough port. Since then, I have car play on my Subaru Forester every time I turn the ignition on. And Google maps on dashboard screen, else this touchscreen is absolutely useless (the only use of it was the rear camera). Now, I have an instant navigation screen. And no need to get the phone out, to connect it by wire! Takes 3-5 sec to establish connection after ignition on (fully automatically), but when it's done, it's stable.Yet, the phone battery is drained relatively fast, 40% in 3 hour, and the phone gets very warm (but not hot). But I can use any car charger to supply the power and not loose the car play (in basic car play support, you have to use the dedicated USB outlet only).People say that this gadget stops working very fast... Ok, will see. So far, I'm quite happy with this toy.
